The Forrest Inn

Had an amazing stay at Forrest Inn Resort with our office colleagues! The location is absolutely beautiful--surrounded by nature, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. We especially enjoyed the outdoor activities and the serene ambiance. Whether you're looking for a weekend retreat or a longer vacation, this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommended!

Not worth the high rates. There is no space for any activities on the property is like being trapped in a jail in the middle of the forest. The food and service is excellent, but the precious little to do on the property as such. The falls are nearby, but there is no special treatment to the inmates of the property . You have to do it all yourself. If you can get it for around 2000, per night, then it is alright.

This resort is a wonderful place to stay, offering a stunning view amidst the serene Meenmutty Waterfall forest area. Although the route to the property involves off-road driving and can be a bit tricky to find, the experience is well worth it. We initially booked a room without a balcony but were delighted to receive a free upgrade. The food options are limited but incredibly tasty, and they even serve meals directly to your room. The staff went above and beyond by arranging a cake at midnight for a surprise birthday party, which made our stay even more memorable. The rooms are clean, spacious, and come with convenient parking, while the bathrooms are also generously sized. The service was exceptional, adding to the overall charm of the place. One of the most peaceful places we've ever stayed, the sound of the forest and the nearby waterfall created a calming atmosphere that was truly unique. Being inside the forest area, we had early access to the waterfall, which was a delightful experience. Additionally, the property is conveniently close to Ponmudi. The only downside is that payments are accepted through Google Pay only, as card payments are not an option. Despite this, the experience was fantastic, and we highly recommend this resort for a tranquil getaway!

Clean, spacious room and bathroom. Location is very beautiful. Peaceful. Good service. Good food included. Reasonable price. Road to the inn from the tarred road is tricky but very fun if you have an off-roader. Near to a couple of attractions.

This Resort is located in the forest area near to meenmutty water falls,very beautiful place,the rooms are spacious, neat and clean,u can enjoy the birds chirping and nature sounds from the balcony,very peaceful place, ambience and food is good , service is also good.

Pros - fairly new and modern build. Location is right in the beautiful forest habitat (we were lucky to see a Giant Squirrel and wild pigs), however, we found this came with its own challenges especially being "foreigners". The staff are friendly although seem very disorganised. Food was nice enough. Cons - cleanliness definitely needs improving, hair and dust in the corners of the room and gecko poo on the bed sheets! Would have been worth the staff checking / giving the room a once over before our arrival, especially as we were the only guests! They seemed more interested sitting around on their phones tbh than cleaning! The same issue applied to the restaurant / cafe 'eating area' in our two night stay, it wasn't cleaned / swept at all! Food from the evening meal was still on the tables at breakfast. The staff said something about the cleaning staff being on holiday, however, this is very unprofessional if you've booked guests into stay! Hence the disorganised and unrelaxing vibe. Also how hard is to sweep??? Lastly it was a shame that the forest wasn't fully accessible as a guest of the hotel. The hotel is within the park which is why we booked it in the first place for nice walks and bird / wildlife watching. When we arrived they hadn't told us that we didn't need a ticket, and so we told to join the hustle of the crowds to get a ticket even though we kept repeating "hotel - Forrest Inn Resort" - to explain that we were staying at the hotel which we found out doesn't need a ticket for entry (as we weren't going to the waterfall) - we got there in the end, after being charged and then refunded! Then very disappointingly we were taken aback by not being welcomed to step outside the hotel without being harassed and told not to go here or go there. So sadly it wasn't a relaxing stay and ended up feeling like a bit of a prison! Surely the park entrance fee could be included in the hotel rate so that guests are able to explore the wonderful forest, wildlife and river at your leisure. Our experience left us feeling that the forest definitely doesn't seem foreigner friendly sadly :(

Recently stayed here. My wife and I have been travelling in Kerala for 2 weeks now. One of the best places we've stayed by far. It's overlooking a babbling brook, the sound of which is extremely calming with goats and cows grazing nearby. The food was particularly good and the service brilliant. Mr Vishnu and his team took splendid care. One of the most peaceful and restful places to stay.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, especially Vishnu... ensuring our every need was met throughout our stay. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The dining options were also outstanding, with delicious meals crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Overall, our time at the holiday resort exceeded all expectations, and we can't wait to return for another unforgettable vacation....
