Hilltop Resort Palakkayam Thattu

Worst experience we ever had.... I don't know how they got approval as a resort...We booked poolside villa which consisted of two bath attached rooms in second floor, one dining hall in first floor where stray cats were lying on couch and a terrace which was the only positive place in the villa...the view and ambience from terrace was good. Out of two rooms only one room had AC and there were no ceiling fans in any of the rooms...The AC was not working and was showing error and it was so hot till around 6 pm, sweating like anything...And we informed the receptionist, an arrogant impolite person named Vineesh who initially told that they would sort out the issue...but did nothing. And on enquiring again he got irritated and replied that the tariff for the room did not include AC charges and so nothing can be done...And talking about room charges...its unbelievable...Rs 8000 for sub par rooms without any AC, no ceiling fan(only wall mounted table fan available), no TV and untidy rooms...They knew this and so told that we had to pay the whole amount at the time of check in itself which is absurd...The pool was almost always occupied by other people and it was difficult to secure a spot in pool...

Very very bad resort which I have ever visited. We booked 5 villas and paid more than INR 25,000. But their service worth will be maximum INR 10,000. Not good house keeping.....

The pool was a nice feature, but in terms of ambiance, the resort felt more like just a place to sleep rather than a full resort experience. Given the limited amenities and overall atmosphere, the pricing felt overpriced for what was offered.

Very bad experience.. We booked room for 3500 rs they haven't even provided a ceiling fan.. The AC was not working.. Worst dining experience.. The food was not good. Breakfast was given around 10 AM.. Service was very bad.. The staff were not cooperative

Never order food from them Service is pathetic. Our travel was delayed more than 1 hr cos of that. And most importantly use only the route from Naduvil. From alakode google map suggests another route which can be taken only with 4x4 vehicles.

Swiming Pool mainted very badly, wastes nd dirty on water... Over all just average

It's an average resort. As it was the monsoon month, the fog was well enjoyed. People who come here should not leave things on the ground near the window. Your things are likely to get wet due to overnight snow. The ordered breakfast was delivered very late. Some of the staffs are supportive. Over all one time visitable resort.

We a family of 16 booked 2 apartment and a room. The rooms in the apartment(It comes with 2 rooms and a hall with a sitout) is small and facilities are less. Not even a cupboard to keep the clothes/belongings. Not that clean too. The bed provided is of queen size. We can't put an extra bed in the room since it is too small for an extra bed. We had to ask them to put a floor mat outside the bathroom. No wastebins provided in the room or toilet. Even though two rooms are attached with bathrooms, hot water is avalibale only in one bathroom. The resort has a common big pool, since the resot has many rooms, its hard to find a slot to enjoy the pool with our family. View from the resort is awesome (Not from every room) Overall we are paying a high amount of money compared to the facilities provided.
