Ezhara Beach House

Ezhara Beach House is a unique pearl in Kerala. We love coming back to this place! Hyacinth and her team understand a travelers wishes and needs. Little details are taken care of i.e. bottles of water, toilet paper, towels, anti mosquito equipment etc. It is a very quiet place with direct access to wonderful and empty Ezhara Beach (good for swimming and strolling). The guest house has some good spots to sit down and relax -Whether it is the balcony or the downstairs cooling veranda. The rooms are simple but furnished with love. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you. The food is excellent! Hyacinth and her team serve breakfast and dinner which is homemade, fresh and local. You can even place your own wishes and if possible they will be fulfilled. The food is plentiful and for breakfast there are a lot of fruit. Hyacinth is the perfect local guide and will help you finding ideas of what to see and do in the region. A laundry service is also provided.

During our stay at Ezhara Beach House, we were immersed in an atmosphere of warmth and genuine hospitality. The heritage charm of the house, combined with its serene beachfront location, provided a perfect retreat and a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with nature.||||Hyacinth, the gracious host, ensured our comfort and went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. The food prepared by Hyacinth and her assistant chef is exceptional; each meal was a delightful journey through Kerala's rich and diverse cuisine. Hyacinth also taught us about the different ingredients, including fruits and vegetables we'd never seen before, let alone tasted! It truly was the best food we had on our travels in India. Hyacinth also arranged a trip for us to see a Fire Theyyan an incredible local ritual, and we felt very privileged to witness such a wonderful festival. ||||The rooms are charming, simple, clean, and comfortable. Falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the Arabian Sea and waking up to the birds singing was truly rejuvenating. The wonderful balcony, under the shade of the palms, with its array of chairs & scatter cushions, is the most delightful spot to relax. ||||The beach itself is a hidden gem--pristine, tranquil, and just steps away from the house.||||For those seeking a peaceful escape enriched with cultural immersion, Ezhara Beach House is a must visit. We left with cherished memories and a longing to return.

We spent a truly magical week at the Ezhara Beach House. Hyacinth is a wonderful host, her generosity, her attention to details, her joy and warmth as a person and in hosting gave us a sense of home; we had great conversations and laughed a lot together. The house is furnished with many, colourful, handcrafted cushions, imagined and designed by Hyacinth. The food is prepared, by the gifted cook Sajana, with lots of love and attention. We discovered many local vegetables, dishes and sweets we never tried before. If you're lucky, custard apples are in season. Hyacinth showed us the vegetables before preparation and we learned a lot about Kerala food. If you're vegan or a fish lover, Sajana cooks accordingly, we looked forward to every breakfast and to each dinner with lots of joy. The beaches around Ezhara Beach House are stunning, we went on long beach walks twice a day and enjoyed swimming a lot. During the hot hours we spent restful moments in the house that stayed nicely cool, we had the whole upper floor to our disposal, together with a big terrace, perfect for reading, writing and some Yoga. If you're looking for a remote, soulful place in nature, close to the ocean, we can highly recommend you Hyacinth and her Ezhara Beach House. When we arrived we met two lovely guests who have been coming back yearly since twelve years. This means so much! And we would definitely come back too!

This was a return trip and Hyacinth continues her warm welcome, going out of her way to make your stay comfortable, interesting and fun - trip to the nibbling fish. The meals are always varied and generous taking into account what you might like to try. Ezhara House is very close to the beach with no other accommodation intruding. Hyacinth is a caring hostess.

Myself and my girlfriend had a lovely stay here. We only stayed 2 nights but would have stayed longer if we had more time. We had the whole top floor of the house to ourselves with a lovely large balcony and views to the ocean and you can hear the waves. Hyacinth is a lovely person and speaks fluent English so we were able to have nice chats with her. She has nice views about things such as animal welfare etc. You can tell she is a kind person. The other staff are also very nice and friendly. It is important to understand that although this beach house is very comfortable and nice it is a rustic/natural type of place where you are in nature and not commercial/touristy. But a perfect place to relax as long as you like simple things. The food was amazing. Lots of different fruits and vegetables that we had not tasted before. I had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful beach house! The owner is an absolute gem--she treated me like her own daughter, making me feel truly at home. She went above and beyond to ensure I was well-fed with delicious meals, and her warmth made my stay even more special. The staff were equally amazing--so friendly, kind, and always ready to help with a smile. The peaceful beachside setting, combined with such incredible hospitality, made this a stay I'll always cherish. I can't wait to come back! Highly recommend

So happy to discover the perfect beach house spot. Few steps from the sea, the house has all the comfort you need. Hyacinth is the best host and with her team provide breakfast and dinners (seafood festival, meat curries and veggie options) with local products and love. She can also organise transports and has all the best tips for massage and also beachfront manucure/pedicure. You can stay there for days chilling, Hyacinth will take care of everything. Will come back for sure!

I had such a lovely stay at Ezhara Beach House enjoying Hyacinth's incredible hospitality and food! The location is stunning and you can have gorgeous beaches almost to yourself. The atmosphere very relaxed and homely, a perfect place to recharge batteries. Can't wait to be back!
