The Royal Island

Spacious rooms, friendly staff, decent food. It feels great altogether. Nothing can replace the feeling of being at home but if it has to be said this would be the closest. There are activities to do like kayaking and kollam is a great tourist location by itself. They even have a trampoline, swing, and a hammock (swing bed) for kids and young adults. Loved my stay.

I had an amazing stay at The Royal Island in Munroe Island! The place is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and the best part--it's pet-friendly! There was plenty of space for my dog to roam around freely, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly warm and hospitable, always ensuring we were comfortable. The location is perfect, right next to the river, offering serene views. They also provide kayaking and canoeing experiences, and I had a breathtaking time kayaking through the backwaters, especially during sunset. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended!!

I booked the room for a short 1 day trip for our friends gang. Since it was a sudden plan, we could not search much and ended up with Royal island after seeing the good reviews. And to our delight, everything matched our expectations. Mithun was extremely professional and patient enough to answer all my queries at the time of booking. Rooms are extremely spacious, new and very neat. All food was arranged as we asked and the sea food was fresh and cooked well to our taste. Kids also had a very good time playing around. He also arranged a good boat trip. The support staff were very courteous and responsive. Overall this is highly recommended if you are looking for an 100% problem free vacation spot.

Wonderful place, new, clean and lovely people! We enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up staying nearly a week instead of one night. Midhun and his staff took great care of us and the sunset/sunrise tours were amazing. Highly recommended!

By far the best experience I had in India. I extended my stay from one week to one month because it was such a lovely place to stay. The surrounding area is super picturesque and peaceful, there's a lot of wildlife to admire, great for walks, kayaking and boating. The part, though, is the staff. Midhun and his crew will make you feel right at home and will help you with whatever you need, however silly your request can be (I wanted to see bats and monkeys and I did). Totally recommend. I will most likely be coming back.

Positives: They are good hosts. Made us very comfortable. The owner and the caretaker were very friendly. Food was good and homely. They arranged a day of boating which was very well organised. Rooms and washrooms are clean. They setup a projector to watch a movie on our request. Just a few negatives: Pressure of water in the taps was very low. So, getting hot water was also difficult. We had to keep on asking the caretaker to switch on the motor to get uninterrupted water supply. Overall the property is a good place to stay for family groups though there is no common sitting area. But there are spacious sit-outs that can be used as common area if everyone wants to spend time together. I have given a 4 star rating for the location only because of the bad approach road.

Beautiful location, clean room, the staff were very attentive and lovely, hammock in the garden to chill big enough for 2 people. Next to the river. The staff helped us organise boat rides and kayaking. Would come back 100% x
