Issacs Residency

We extended our stay at the hotel 3 times because we felt too good here to leave. From the first step into the building we felt the energy of the place so welcoming, warm and peaceful. Our stay proofed our first impressions. Beside the beautiful building, nice rooms and an overall very tidy outlook, a place is defined by the people. Especially the staff at the reception was extra ordinary service oriented which made me feel a little bit like a queen. Something that I only know from 5 star hotels. Surely this was by far the best place that I have seen here in India so far. (compared to others in that price range) I also have to thank the cleaning staff and the kitchen staff. It was such a blessing to come back to our room when they took care of the space. We will leave tomorrow (finally :)) and we say goodbye also with one sad eye. The amazing breakfast buffet, the engaging and friendly staff and the beautiful surrounding is definitely something we will take away as lasting memories. Thank you for your work to create this place, we enjoyed so much!

Excellent food, stay, and service. Sleep quality is good. Initially we were apprehensive as there is no AC but then realized this is common in Munnar. The reception staff is friendly and the breakfast spread is decent. This is a senior citizen friendly hotel and they even provide wheelchair assistance. Strongly recommended!

Great breakfast! Varieties of options! Excellent view of hills through restaurant window. Staffs are polite. Fantastic location for sight seeing tours. I was there with my son for three nights. While booking the room, it was not mentioned that the window view was blocked by a small hill close to the building. Mountain view rooms did not have two single beds option. That was ridiculous! The restaurant service is aweful. We arrived after a very long tiring journey and were hungry, however we were served with uncooked food (chicken). Next day we found steel scrub pieces in omelette and again a chicken dish was not cooked well. Room cleaning service was far below standard, did not take away used tea cups. Window curtain was hanging unhooked from one side.

Nothing short of excellent..we felt so warm..staff behaviour was so welcoming everywhere right from reception to the restaurant..food was tasty and of good quality. Rooms were hygienic and cosy. Affordable yet classy..

Just Spent four days in this wonderful hotel. It was spur of the moment stop in Munnar and so had no time to look at reviews first. There was no need, everything was fabulous. Such a welcoming Environment, The staff were delightful and always helpful. Food delicious, we ate all our meals here. Rooms are spotlessly clean as is the whole hotel. Location is right in the centre of town. Don't hesitate to book here, we loved it.

We felt very welcome and were very happy to stay two nights in this fantastic hotel. The rooms are very clean, as is all the hotel. On the Munnar-side you have a super view on the Centre of the village, the Catholic Church, the Hindu temple and the Mosque of Munnar and its buzzling activity. The staff has been very polite and smiling and all requests have been answered to our full satisfaction. And the staff is always perfectly and very elegantly dressed. We recommend the Issacs Residency highly.

Quite a good stay at Issacs Residency. We really enjoyed the restaurant - the staff there were lovely and the food was excellent. We had a great time at the New Year's Eve party. The hotel was slightly overpriced for what it offered. Also, we found it a little hot - for us, it was a bit warm to sleep without air conditioning (rooms do not have AC, fan only). Munnar was definitely not as cold for us as the locals seemed to find it!

I recently stayed at 'Issacs Residency Munnar' with my family, and it was one of the best hotel experience, I have ever had. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the amenities were top notch with helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was a feast with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from.
