Spice Jungle Resort by Maat Hotels

I had high hopes for this resort based on the photos and reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. First, the check-in process was disorganized and took over an hour, with staff seeming overwhelmed and unprepared. Once we finally got to our room, it was not clean--there were stains on the sheets, a musty smell, and leftover trash from the previous guests. The food was mediocre at best, with limited options and poor service. Several times, we waited 30+ minutes just to get a server's attention. For a resort that claims to be all-inclusive, it felt more like we were constantly being upsold on everything. The pool area was overcrowded and not well maintained, and to top it off, there was ongoing construction that made relaxing impossible due to constant noise. When I raised these concerns with management, I was met with indifference and no resolution. Overall, this was a waste of time and money. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I hope this helps others avoid the same mistake.

Honestly if you like jungle or adventures stay this is the place .Reason I am giving 3 stars is management need to work on reception guys ... It was a horrible experience the guy tried to scam us with the tariff. Please book it online if you stay there . You will get some good deals they will ask you to come in person please don't get scammed. They charged way more & never gave me a bill . They don't clean the restaurant table unless you ask to .Location is supercool if you love forest jungle kinda feel... Birds singing and full of trees . Pool is available, Fire camps with music all good except reception. Overall suggestion employees need to be trained and management is not aware of people collecting more money and not giving receipt.

It was a wonderful experience. Compliments to the chef for the most delicious soups and curries. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even provided indoor games for us. The spacious rooms and bathrooms were clean. Surrounded by lush greenery and bird songs, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Spice Jungle.

It is just like jungle experience absolutely.. if u Want to explore the beauty of munnar from resort this is not the right resort. For extra bed they demanded 800/-. Employees are not at all sincere. If we asked anything nobody will give the right response. Dinner is also very expensive.. we can't go out to buy anything from other shop, because there is no shops nearby. It's just ok experience. No indoor outdoor games.. no camp fire. Only the swimming pool is the entertainment.

First of all . The resort is an Ok, if you want to stay inside a Forest- you'll get the right feel . The reception Guy needs to become a Hotel Receptionist rather than a Attitude Looker. 1.Restaurant is pretty much expensive and the best thing is you can't go outside due to the hilly curvy road to the Resort- if you are a Noobie driver that would be a problem and they know it very well charging you much costly for food 2.Wifi is Ok . Receptionist would type on each device you have rather than giving password to you . Even if you have 20 phones , He would type individually for each one . If i have the money to pay for the resort why would he resist to give password 3. The road to Resort is Much narrow and large curves if you are a new driver that would be an problem or You could ask the Resort Guys for Help- They would send someone 4. Parking spot is very tight that you could see it's like Lego bricks keeping all according to the shape pretty dangerous. 5.You will have a pool which is decent, A Fire camp which is also decent. 6.Dont expect too much by viewing the photos in google , because it wont match your expectations 7.Our rooms had pretty bad smell while we were there and we asked them only after they cleaned it ! 8. Extra Beds cost Large amount which is not considerable .

Lunch and Dinner was quit good. But Morning Breakfast was just ok. Front Office staff Mr. Akhil is managing very well friendly and soft spoken. TEAM of Spice Jungle Resort is Excellent.

Se stayed there for two nights. The staff was friendly, there is a lovely swimmingpool with a wonderful view into the jungle (the water was very fresh). However, rooms were not soundproof, washroom and furniture need to have a complete overhaul, general condition was not good and not very clean. In the evening they played loud music like in a discotheque. Breakfast was very poor. No laundry service. Prices were far too high for what we have got. The road to the hotel is very steep.
