The Backwater Rhapsody, Alleppey

We stayed at Backwater Rhapsody for 3 nights , a family of 8. We really loved the serene location just by the lake! The house itself is well maintained and clean.. the caretaker Suresh and cook Suni were fabulous and we had some great meals thanks to them! Special thanks to Ken for helping us with our itinerary and suggesting lots of things to do around Alleppey! Thank u guys! Will visit again hopefully

We recently visited this place . Pros - Ken the owner of the place was amazing from start. He guided us well with places we could visit during the stay and also called us personally to know if we reached . Kayaking and speed boat was good recommendations . Food was tasty except for the porotta. Cons - Photos does not do the justice to the place . Pool is very small and wasn't clean enough. The food was over priced. Recommend to buy food from outside considering the cost.

What an amazing experience!! Starting from the very beginning of interaction with Ken(owner), all the way through the checkout, they were able to provide an absolute wonderful experience! Ken was so friendly, professional and went the whole nine yards to make us feel comfortable. Suresh (care taker), Suni(chef) and team at the property made us feel at home and were so careful and proactive to cater to all our needs! Highly recommend Backwater Rhapsody! Highlights - Cleanliness, Homely, Breathtaking lake view, Excellent hospitality !

We just spent 3 nights in The Backwater Rhapsody. It's a beautiful house with a wonderful garden where you have direct access to the Backwaters. The staff is really nice and welcoming. The house and the garden (with pool) is clean and the food is sooo yummi!! We will for sure come back on our next trip to Kerala.

Beautiful property with a fantastic lake view. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The pool is not big, but enough for a family fun time. Did not meet the owner Ken as he is in Bangalore. Talked with him over phone and he was a gentleman. He was very helpful over whatsapp also. The caretaker Suresh and the cook were very cordial. Absolutely no glitches. The food was good and if you consider hotel prices, relatively cheap also. Would love to go back again.

Ken's place was lovely with a fab view! The caretaker Suresh and chef Suni were really good and we had some scrumptious meals while we stayed with them! Ken helped us with contacts for various activities and places to visit and eat.. thank you all! We had a great time!

I recently stayed for 2 days at a beautiful lakeside property by Allepey, and the experience was absolutely exceptional! The owner is incredibly proactive and cooperative, going out of his way to ensure everything was perfect for us. His care taker Suresh is a real compassionate guy. We wanted to celebrate Onam and have an authentic Onam Sadya on banana leaves for 11 people, and he not only made it happen but also took us shopping the night before to make sure we had everything we needed. ||His wife even came over to help with makeup and styling for the ladies in our group, which made the experience even more special. The staff is outstanding - they go above and beyond to make sure every need is met, and their cooking is phenomenal. Even as North Indians, we thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Kerala-style food they prepared.||The property itself is a gem - the pool was perfect for some fun, and we even got to enjoy fishing and a shikara pickup right from the property's lake. This stay was everything we could've hoped for and more. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable Kerala experience!

This place is really beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures.Ken is an amazing host.He really helped me plan my stay and was keen on making sure that we were really comfortable at his place. Place has an amazing view and my family really loved it .
