Purity @ Lake Vembanad

We had a fabulous 6 days at Purity. The people are extremely welcoming and really want you to have the best stay. The hospitality shines through with smiles, warmth and kindness. Our treatment was five star from start to finish with Mary greeting us at the door, helping us to organise our days when needed, and always checking in with us to ensure everything was ok. She guided us on where to buy the best spices and organised someone to apply Henna Art. Arya, the Restaurant Captain along with Vishnu and Suresh delivered excellent service with passion and enthusiasm, day and night. The smiles were plentiful. Anoop, the Chef, has created a varied and quality menu, we ate something different each day and were not disappointed, the food is a real strength at Purity with fresh fish in abundance. The rooms were really nice, beds comfortable and air conditioning that worked! We had daily yoga with Naiju that enhanced the stay. All in all, a superb 6 days in a wonderful setting. We will definitely return.

This is one of the most amazing and beautiful places we have stayed in our travels. The layout of the place is spectacular - artwork, courtyards, pool overlooking lake and the most amazing food from the chef and kitchen that you can imagine! Fabulous Indian food prepared to perfection. The staff is amazing and the canoe ride with local fisherman a must. So calm, peaceful and restful. A true gem in India.

First class hotel. The staff were great, especially receptionist Mary and the lady in charge of the restaurant. We did not only get an upgrade to a sea-view suite but could also leave all our belongings in the room while we went on our backwater house boat trip for 24 hours. The cooking was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Right on the waterfront of Lake Vembanad, this beautiful boutique hotel was the perfect place to relax for a couple of nights. The staff is very caring (special mention to Aria and Marie, both of whom were wonderful), the food was amazing and my room very spacious, beautifully decorated and ultra clean. The peaceful canoe ride at sunset to see the Chinese fishnets is a must. I loved my stay at Purity and recommend this property without hesitation. Its location is also perfect if you wish to go and have a look at Marari Beach (15-minute drive).

This is the most beautiful, relaxing hotel we've ever stayed in. Room was amazing with a fab view! Huge thanks to the chef Sahal - the food was to die for! Arya, Mary, Sarath and the rest of the team were so kind and treated us like queens - no request was too big. We'll be back!!

Such an amazing place and such a beautiful hotel and a Beautiful setting, great rooms and staff and wonderful food. The pool Overlooking lake Vembanad is amazing. Very peaceful. 10 out of 10!!|We would definitely come back on our next trip to India.

The hotel and the location are very nice. Service at restaurant is quick and organized and the staff is friendly and attentive.|However the whole experience has been totally ruined due to having been double charged for the stay.|I paid by bank transfer in February, sent respective confirmation and even the location code. Until my departure they were unable to locate the transfer and made me pay again by credit card, assuring they would return the money as soon as they locate the transfer. Both payments have already been debited in my account and no refund made. |My bank assures me that the money has reached the recipient bank and I already asked and paid for the return of the initial payment, even though I am aware that Malabar Escapes has to authorize it. |Now since my departure (end of March) the hotel stopped answering my e-mails.|I cannot help wondering if the staff from reservation (Adithya) and finance departaments are incompetent or if there is a scam behind.|I hope that senior management investigates this matter and returns the money urgently. |Future travellers be aware
