1515 Mepra Kanianthara Heritage Farm

The rooms are comfortable and clean. The surroundings are amazingly beautiful and so are the people. I felt as if I was part of the family. The food is great and prepared with love. The host is prepared to make an effort to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I think this is extremely good value for your money! I went here for an ayurvedic retreat and a dentist apointment. Both exceeded my expectations, not only in quality but also in friendliness and dedication. Can't wait to save up to go back!

A home away from home..a perfect place to unwind from urbanscapes. The rooms were very clean and had ample supplies, it had one of the best views , overlooking the paddy fields. Though the place is in a small scenic village which makes you feel you have travelled back in time, amenities like wifi /air condition work perfectly. The host, Arun and family was always there to help and was very caring, the home cooked food by Arun's mother is one of the main highlights, healthy and tasty dishes prepared with the local produce. Kids have lots of place to run around and play. A truly Divine place to calm and relax. Would highly recommend this place, and we would keep coming back.

We went to 1515 Mepra in August during all the rains and floods. In spite of this, Arun and his family made our trip very memorable and comfortable. If you are looking to experience the simple life of Kerala, this homestay is for you. The surroundings are peaceful with paddy fields all around and with cows, chickens and ducks around the property. It reminded me of my grandparent's farm I used to visit as a child. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The food is cooked by Arun's mom and very traditional and tasty!! Just the right place to get away from all the noise and pollution of the city and relax!!

Out in the middle of nowhere (after driving around in circles, calling Arun, the owner, he was kind enough to find us on his motorcyle and guide our driver to his place) this was an interesting, relaxing and peaceful stay in the Kerala ricebowl farming area. His sweet wife and mother and cute kids welcomed and nourished us. The rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable and everything worked well. The food was delicious, although good to let them know in advance if you are arriving at a mealtime and want food prepared. Definitely worth and overnight visit. We did not take advantage of the Aryurvedic consultations and treatments available - perhaps another time.

Arun's place was a hidden treasure! We (a group of 7 friends) had come to Thiruvalla to attend a wedding. I must say the highlight of our trip was the stay at this place. The place was beautiful, calm and clean! Away from the hustle bustle of Thiruvalla. My room overlooked a small pond and a paddy field. He was extremely hospitable and helpful with everything. The food his family made and served us was supremely delicious and authentic. They had a small farm attached to the house. Arun was happy to give us a tour of the same. The ingredients of our meals were obtained from this farm, so the freshness of the food was ensured! Arun was also kind enough to provide me with freshly extracted coconut oil to heal my facial sunburn (from the harsh Kerala sun). I recovered within a day due to the pure coconut oil I applied. Overall, I had more than a pleasant stay! I wish to come back soon! :)

If you want to get away from the city, this is the perfect place. Arun's house is set in a beautiful plot with coconut, banana, papaya, mango and other trees and plants. The house faces a lake and paddy field - perfect spot for yoga, meditation and sitting with a book. The village is beautiful, green and tranquil and a gorgeous place to go for walks. Arun and his family are lovely hosts and the home cooked food is delicious!

This was our first homestay and we didn't know what was in store for us. I must say we had a wonderful time. It was indeed a home away from home with a Warm and Friendly family,||||If you like a quiet place far from the busy city life surrounded by nature then look no further. We had a room on the upper floor to the east and had amazing views of Rice fields, Fish Farm with ducklings, Chickens & a shed with 4 cows. It's the place where you don't have to go anywhere to watch birds like Jungle Drongo, Kingfisher, woodpecker and many more. We were lucky to see Fireflies and Bats very closely.||||It was such a lovely, grounding experience away from busy city life; with tasty home cooked meals and wonderful people around.

Hygienic, homely food, absolutely safe & very peaceful location. It was a family trip and my mother forgot to pick her jewelry which she had kept under the pillow whilst going to sleep. Post checking out we got a call from the home stay stating that they found the jewelry. Awesome place.
