There is nothing that I didn't like here! Kallur Illam is a unique and soulful experience! I would highly recommend this place to someone who likes to experience culture, tradition ,serenity and tranquility. Great service by the host and staff. Homely and great food!

My husband and I stayed at Kallur Illam for four days, visiting several temples as well doing some site seeing and beach trips etc. and I must say, it was just fantastic being there. The ambience and facilities of Kallur Illam were perfect for us, enhancing our experience and overall trip in every way. The property manager, Mr. Shinoj is truly a star! He went above and beyond his duties ensuring that our stay was comfortable and our trips to the various temples, beaches and theyyam performances went as per plan. His knowledge of the local area and temples was invaluable and helped us immensely in the planning and execution of our day by day agenda. We could certainly not have covered so much ground without his able assistance. A special mention for the in-house cook Deepa who made various traditional delicacies every day, making sure every meal was delicious, homely and enjoyable. I would recommend Kallur illam whole heartedly to anyone looking for a beautiful traditional experience while staying in a comfortable and aesthetically decorated, stunning home, (one that is at least a couple of hundred years old) while also having access to all modern amenities. The huge step pond in the property is another outstanding feature that is simply spectacular. We wish Shinoj and team Kallur Illam the very best and look forward to visiting again.

I would strongly advise against visiting this resort, whether for a photoshoot or a homestay. The management lacks basic courtesy and respect for their guests. If you're looking for a safe, peaceful, and respectful environment, avoid this place at all costs. It is not worth your time or money.

I would never recommend this resort to anyone, whether for a photoshoot or a homestay. We booked this place for a pre-wedding photoshoot, and the management refused to provide even a single room for dress changes especially for ladies. The staff's behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, there is absolutely no sense of safety, especially for women. The staff's attitude was appalling, and we felt highly unwelcome throughout. At one point, they even shouted at us just for sitting on the verandah while waiting. It was deeply humiliating and unacceptable. We didn't pay the amount and we have to leave the place without shooting due to the worst experience we faced. This was by far the worst experience we've ever had. The management clearly has no respect for customers, and their behavior leaves much to be desired. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place if you're looking for a peaceful, safe, and respectful environment. Completely unworthy of the time and money spent.

We had a pleasant stay at this home. The caretaker Mr. Shinoj was extremely helpful and accomodated all our requests especially for the food. The food served was delicious and freshly prepared in house.

Lovely ambience. We had a beautiful stay in Kallur illam. Very neatly maintained rooms, delicious food and super awesome host Shinoj. Deadly combination that will make you want to go back again and again. It was raining when we stayed there and we never enjoyed kerala rains more than during our stay. Highly recommended for a peaceful and cozy break from city life. We are waiting to go back..

Beautifully restored ettukettu, located in serene locale,easily accessible from main road, thoughfully done interiors ... enough to recharge your batteries.. The hospitality was awesome, the caretaker Shinoj and team deserves an A plus ..And the cook Lakshmiyedathy and team excelled in feeding us choicest food.. Looking forward to some more days languishing there..
