Thank you so much for your valuable service provided for me and my family. All our members were so happy. This is value for money. As Boche always says.. you are not Mr.Johan you should get to known as Mr.Mudhouse, your efforts for guests are amazing. Very nice tasty food we had. This Mudhouse is really given a fresh and unique homely experience. I can guarantee that no one can give a service like Johan gives in whole kanthalloor. We need to encourage such Authentic MudHouses and Responsible Tourism.! "Guests pls be aware that some highly businesses oriented non authentic stuffs are there nearby, pls don't get mislead." This is the FIRST MUDHOUSE ever happened at kanthalloor.! Built and maintained since a decade.

We had a wonderful stay at Nature Tones. Mr Johin took care of all our requirements. He is a great host, and personally accompanied and guided us around the places, be it taking us to the special locations for spotting birds, trips to the national park, and trekking into Chinnar Forest. Mr Mohideen attended to our needs, and tends to the garden and flowering & fruit trees with love and dedication. We recommend this place to all nature lovers, birders and for those who just want to chill for a few days.

We stayed at Nature Tone Mudhouse for 3 days and it was beyond beautiful. It's a narrow road to reach here which passes through sandalwood forest, and at a little elevated level this beautiful property has been built consciously by keeping environment at the centre of heart. Johin's clear intention to bring back the lost architecture and provide a sustainable experience to his guests beams through every corner of this property. There are so many birds who kept humming throughout the day keeping us engaged in their playfulness, the warmth of the sun refreshed our souls through the doors and windows of the incredibly built mudhouse. Occasional rains added cherry on top. Johin accompanied us on all the explorations around, including safari drives. He is not only knowledgeable about the ecosystem but is deeply passionate about how to keep it alive. On one of the safari drives we spotted a baby leopard, malabar giant squirrel, spotted and samba deers due to his sharp eyesight! Oh how do I not talk about the food served at the stay. Unlike other stays, here it is a lovingly cooked home food that we got to experience. Though the options were limited (fairly) it was all prepared carefully as oer our taste and served with loads of love. Johin's dearest father and his adorable elder daughter visited us everyday with food and generous enough to spend time with us sharing their experiences in the forest. Cheta (the caretaker) was the sweetest who always wore the smile and was ready to serve us with anything we requested. This whole team here works hard to bring the best homestay experience for guests, keeping the environment clean with an intention to create a beautiful harmony of the whole ecosystem. One must visit such places if you are passionate about nature, silence, and peace. This kinda place is best to introduce children to nature and enable them to understand and appreciate the beauty and simplicity of it. Absolutely loved staying here and humbled to receive such warm hospitality. Thank you.

Our stay at the mud house was amazing, with exceptional hospitality and a peaceful, serene ambiance. Johin was always available, sharing his deep knowledge of the mud house with genuine passion. The homely food was delicious and comforting, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

Mud House was an incredible experience for my family and me. It is a peaceful and quiet place, perfect for relaxation. Johin and his family took excellent care of us throughout our stay. We had a great time together as a family, and the night safari was especially memorable. They truly offer great value for guests. We highly recommend Mud House for a peaceful vacation.

Had an excellent vacation at the Mud house. Right from the booking to the check out, everything was fantastic. Johin is a great host, he ensured our stay was very comfortable. Mud house is beautiful concept and had all needed comfort; kettle, hair dryer, toiletries and was very spacious. My son had a lovely time running around and he spent time with Johin's kids. Johin took us to nearby places. Anakulam was the best, one should definitely visit there to watch the elephants have a nice time in the stream (patience is a must, waiting there to catch a glimpse of them), the drive to this place was one I would cherish forever, it was beautiful. He helped us with local shopping too. Food and service from the staff was very good. Home cooked food and it was our choice of menu. We had a great time there. Will definitely recommend for those looking out for a great vacation and to experience the Mud house.

We were staying for a night with our 6 year old at the mud house. We were warmly greeted by Johin and his family. They prepared delicious homemade food for us and Johin was kind enough to show us around and take us shopping at the local shops. The mud house was extremely clean and comfortable place to stay. We were amazed at how well it was maintained and beautifully constructed. We hope to come back and spend some quality time!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely villa for three nights in March 2025, and it was an unforgettable experience. The property is immaculately maintained, nestled in the heart of nature. The small garden right outside the villa is a beautiful touch, attracting a variety of birds that come to drink and feed--creating a peaceful atmosphere. Throughout the day, we enjoyed the soothing sound of birds chirping from all around. Johin, the owner, is an absolute gem. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional, making us feel like part of the family. His passion for nature is evident; as a naturalist with an extensive knowledge of local wildlife, he shared fascinating insights about the birds and animals in the area. Johin also helped us plan local sightseeing, recommended delicious food spots, and guided us on forest visits. The food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious--home-style meals that truly enhanced the experience. Johin and his family live on the property and were always available to help with any need we had, adding a personal touch to our stay. We had such a wonderful time, and we're already looking forward to returning in the future. Highly recommend!
