Marari Swapna Beach Villas

Sebastian and his lovely family hosted us at their place and couldn't have done more for us. The homestay is a very short walk from the glorious beach where there are numerous cafes and bars (some not open during off season). And an absolutely delicious breakfast too. Would recommend to anyone.

Sebastian and his wife Swapna are the quintessential hosts....warm, friendly & welcoming they instantly make you feel at home. The place is incredible with beautiful carvings made by Sebastian that brings the place to life and gives a beautiful aura to it. The plants that Sebastian lovingly takes care of adds to the atmosphere and enhances its beauty ten fold. The rooms are private and away from the noise of the beach and traffic. Beach is just walking distance and so are some good cafes with Ecstasy being the closest one with really good food. You also get to meet very friendly people here esp. foreigners with whom this area seems to be very popular. Breakfast served were amazing with traditional cuisines made lovingly by Swapna. Their children are also sweet & cheerful. We loved meeting their family and spending time with them. Wifi was also good. Overall just a delightful and memorable experience. Highly recommend staying here and enjoying this lovely place and the hospitality <3

Sebastian, Swapna and their kids are so kind! They have an amazing property and the room is very (!) clean and neat and has AC as well. Communication before hand was easy and smooth. We felt very safe and comfy! The breakfast was great and even though we skipped it, Swapna can provide tasty home made dinner for you, too! We enjoyed our stay very very much - their place is so peaceful and quiet! All the best to you and your wonderful family!

What a great homestay, with arty elements and beautiful plants, we felt like in an oasis, away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Swapna made us feel at home, she and her 3 kids were a delight to chat to. Their home is 2 minutes walking distance from the beach and places to eat, and we had everything that we needed. She even made breakfast for us, Kerala style or western style. A warm, friendly and kind family, that welcomed us and showed us some amazing South Indian hospitality. If you want to have a peaceful place to relax and enjoy yourself, we highly recommend this home.

Great hosts and place! Host family were very friendly and welcoming. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and home cooked by the host. Artworks were beautiful and personally crafted by the host. Would recommend if you are staying in this area!

I booked this property a month before my date of travel and when we reached the property, we were told that the place (Marari Swapna Beach Villa) was full. We were instead given a room in a nearby house. I had called three days prior to confirm and the host had confirmed our stay - even on the day of arrival we weren't informed about the change. The room at the new airbnb seemed smaller and the airconditioner was barely functioning. In the peak of summer we were uncomfortable and noone was around to offer any kind of assistance. There was an old person and 2 kids at the new airbnb who were clueless and the original hosts were out of reach on their phones. Finally, 3 hours after check-in, we got through to them and told them that we would like to leave and they demanded half price which we had to pay. In the four hours that we were there we didn't meet any of the original hosts. I booked this property taking into account all the glowing reviews online. Our experience was shockingly bad.

This nice little cottage by the beach was an extra ordinary experience for me and my friends. It has some very elegant handmade artwork all over the place, the property is extremely beautiful and the rooms are small but very cozy. The hosts are some very nice kerelites who made sure our stay was was delightful. They cooked delicious food, and I would recommend that people try all three meals. The surroundings are serene and peaceful. It's very close to the beach and has all amenities. I am very thankful that I chose this accomodation and met these very pleasant people who run it.
