Marari Asphodel homestay

Never book it . Take bookings but can't give you proper rooms.

So my boyfriend and I were meant to stay in another house closer to the beach. Due to a funeral the owner shifted us to asphodel homestay. The house is directly on the little street that leads to alleppey, which is why its not completely quiet there. At first we were a little disappointed, but in the end we had a great time there. You get a really authentic experience there, on the way to the beach you see the big church and people go there a lot. So you see the locals every day and their events. the beach is only a 2 min walk by the way. The owner were amazing! the mother of the house is a great cook, after we asked her she provided traditional keralan breakfast which was just awesome. We were able to rent a scooter for a day which you should definitely do and do a tour to alleppey! that was 350 rupees for a whole day. the kids were so sweet and they even put a table and lights outside on the grass for us so we could have a nice dinner. i was totally in love with the food. This place definitely deserves more ratings, as it is a top place to stay at marari beach and really pricy aswell! I can only recommend!

We were there last month and this place was amazing. Just almost on the beach, breakfast included and the room and bathroom were new and suuper clean. The cleanest room I stayed in India. ||The family was very helpful. We arrived late the first night and nothing was opened to have dinner so the dad of the family took my friend with the motorbike to pick up some food, the day we left they even stopped the bus we wanted to take for us.||Really kind people

Due to a change of plans we had to find a homestay at very short notice. There was little availability elsewhere so we ended up at Asphadel,booking in for two nights. We loved it so much that we stayed on for a further two nights. Our room was very good and the bathroom superb. The owners could not have been more accomodating. Breakfasts were great and dinner was available if prebooked. Eating out in Marari Beach is not easy as there is only one small cafe in the town. The house is opposite the local church so we were woken up at about 7.00am on several mornings by the service being broadcast. That sounds horrible but in reality was delightful as Indian church services are very different to western ones......very chilled. When we go back to Kerala we are definitely planning to go back to Asphadel

It was a wonderful experience for me and my friends. Very good facilities. Beach is near by the homestay. Such a beautiful family how trrats there guests as gods. Thank you so much. We really loved it.

Staying here was a total pleasure. The hosts are wonderful and incredibly welcoming. Breakfast is delicious and the location is brilliant, being only a few minutes walk away from the beach. The rooms are fantastic and incredibly clean. Can't recommend enough!

We had the most wonderful time staying at Marari Asphodel Homestay. Our lovely hosts were really friendly and helpful and the food was some of the best I've had in India! Clean and tidy rooms, excellent value for money. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
