OYO 10783 Hotel River Moon

This place was really nice stay . The beds were comfortable, clean sheets and clean bathroom. The rooms were large and the one we stayed it had a living and a bedroom area. The beds are comfortable. Even though we switched off all the lights there was too much light inside the room. That was a draw back. It's on the road side close to the national park ticket station as well as market area is close by . The food wasn't that impressive, tea and coffee is also a disappointment.

Stayed there for 2 days with my friends. The rooms don't have air conditioning, the room service was pathetic, and the breakfast was lite. They don't have a power backup and considering the climate in thekkady it was difficult to stay in the rooms. The room has only one power socket and lacks other basic amenities. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. There are better options available nearby at the same prices.

Ambience is good. Amenities are limited. No tea kettle. Only Malayalam channels in the TV. Rooms are sufficient for a small family. Located in the city center. Rates are Worth.

This I booked by OYO. Firstly rooms are non AC. Room has got a table fan fitted on fan Mine had a lot of mosquitoes inside which of course didn't go away and I had to suffer them whole night.||Location is convinient. The building we were in was having only four rooms. They do not have restaurent. Outside food is not allowed inside, which makes it very inconvenient as you have to go outside for even a cup of tea.||They serve their so called 'Hot' water which at best sounds dubious in unclean jug. Of course you can ask for mineral water but you have to pay in cash on spot!||For food they can get it from some other restaurent but you have to eat it in verenda in open! ||Don't ask for extra soap or towell, you won't get them.||Fo breakfast as per OYO, we should have gotten bread, one north indian and another sounth indian item. Well there was idli, chutney and sambhar or you get lost! They had only filter coffee or readymade chai. Someone who doesn't drink it will not get options. So you are most likely going to be disappointed from breakfast. Bettter option would be to go out find out a local street vendor and have it. Must better choice.||All and all I would say it is a cheap place but don't take it! You will find better options than this.||PS : Most staff doesn't know English or Hindi.||A reccommendation to OYO, you should really make it loud and clear when places are dharamshaalas and not hotel. May be you can have another catagory for dharamshaalas!

Nice hotel. Owner is a surgeon so he aims to maintain good hygiene. Manager Manojkumar was very helpful for any query/problem during stay. Location is also good since everyrhing is at walking distance including ktdc bus stop for periyar lake visit. also there are some good show in evening across the hotel. specially marshal art show is great.

Took a non AC room. Did not have any ceiling fans-only 1 wall mounted fan and 1 pedestal fan. Also, there was only 1 plug point available for mobile charging. Even though wifi was installed, it was very slow. Overall, a bad experience

the bed is really comfy and clean as the hotel. accordingly the rates are reasonable. active staffs.

No complaints except the power problem.. The hotel has no standby supply facility.. Hospitality is excellent...
