Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Malabar Gate

We recently stayed at Keys Select By Lemon Tree Hotels, Malabar Gate, Kozhikode, booking three rooms for one night. Overall, it was a mixed experience. Here are some highlights: Positives: Excellent Breakfast: The breakfast offered a great variety of options, all well-prepared and delicious. It was a perfect start to our day! Convenient Parking: The hotel provided ample parking space, which made it very convenient for us to park our vehicle without any hassle. Quick Check-In and Check-Out: The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient, saving us time and making the experience stress-free. Areas for Improvement: Safety Concerns: The rooms lacked a safety lock, which made us feel uneasy. Room Size: The rooms were much less spacious than expected, making it uncomfortable to move around. Ventilation Issues: The exhaust fan was not working, leading to a stuffy atmosphere in the room. Missing Amenities: There was no iron box available, which was inconvenient. Climate Control: The climate control system did not display the room temperature, limiting control over comfort. Lack of Basics: There were no plates provided in the room. Bathroom Design: There was no separation between wet and dry areas in the bathroom, making it hard to keep things dry. Storage Inadequacies: The room had a shortage of hangers. Basic Supplies: Tissues were not provided. These issues affected our comfort and made for an overall disappointing stay. We expected better standards from a reputable hotel chain like Lemon Tree. Hopefully, management can address these concerns to improve the experience for future guests.

A Comfortable Stay in the Heart of Kozhikode Malabar Gate Hotel has been a well-known name for years, and my stay here was quite comfortable. The rooms were clean, and the service was good, making it a reliable choice for travelers. However, I did feel that the rooms had an aged feel, lacking a modern touch. It's not a deal-breaker, but if you prefer a more contemporary vibe, you might notice it. One thing to note is the dining experience. While the hotel offers food, I'd highly recommend exploring Kozhikode's famous Malabar cuisine outside. The city has some legendary restaurants that serve authentic and historic flavors you wouldn't want to miss. It's not that the food here is bad, but stepping out to explore is definitely the better option! Overall, a decent stay with good service, but for food lovers, the best of Kozhikode is waiting just outside.

Keys Select By Lemon Tree Hotels, Malabar Gate, Kozhikode --- This is the worst hotel in Kozhikode...When we came to the hotel, we asked the doorman/security for Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotel, he was not aware...and told us the hotel does not exist...Finally asking lot of people, we realised it is the same hotel...the doorman/security knows this hotel as " Malabar Gate "....so guests who come to this hotel, please ask for Malabar gate. The rooms were dirty....no amenities in the bathroom...even bathing towel was not there...there was a bucket with dirt...the housekeeping staff left it out of mistake, while cleaning....the a/c not working well...uneducated staffs....the food was average....in the restaurant waiting staffs fighting with their managers for leave and change of rosters....overall a bad experience....i have stayed in Lemon Tree and Keys Hotels earlier....but this does not have it standards....please don't book this hotel

I used to stay at this hotel in 2005-2006 time period and the rooms used to be excellent... Now it is not maintained properly... The furnishings have become old and un polished

Booked the hotel by the name lemon tree. But couldn't see anything like other lemon tree. Quite old hotel. Bathroom was renovated recently and was good, else room is quite old. Limited options in breakfast as well.

The old charm of this hotel gone. On 17th Dec 2024 we were checked in unfortunatly the room was not clean and full of dust. Then they gave another room but the lock was not working. We have managed to stay there.

A great location for bus travelers. But the hotel fell short in its amenities, parts of the room seemed old, not functional and just old. The staff seemed undertrained and not that capable in handling customers. We were quoted two different rates by the staff for extending our stay, and the final amount we paid wasn't told to us beforehand which seemed wrong. The breakfast was good,love the 24 hours check in and out concept.
