During my stay at this old hotel in Calicut, I found the experience to be a mix of positives and areas for improvement. However, the low room occupancy hints at a potential drawback--the aging infrastructure. Updating the rooms and furniture could greatly enhance the appeal of this hotel without losing its heritage charm. Overall, this hotel could be a good choice for those seeking affordable and tasty food with warm service, but it might not suit travelers looking for modern or luxurious accommodations. Visited Span Avenue in Kozhikode for a photography assignment, and the experience was fantastic. The event was held in the second-floor hall, which was spacious, well-lit, and perfect for hosting programs. The ambiance was classy, and the management was well-organized. What truly stood out was the restaurant on the same floor--the food was absolutely awesome! From the taste to the presentation, everything was top-notch. The service was also excellent, making the overall experience even better. If you're looking for a great venue for events or simply a place to enjoy delicious food in Kozhikode, Span Avenue is definitely worth visiting!

While Span Hotel has the potential to be a leading choice in Calicut due to its strategic location and decent facilities, the lack of attentiveness and courteous behavior at the reception is a significant drawback. A change in staff training and customer interaction policies could greatly enhance the guest experience. That was very bad experience

Booked a ac room online. when reached hotel, they offered non ac as the price I paid online through agoda is less. To upgrade they asked an additional 500 and the condition of the ac room was pathetic. Considering it as a 3 star hotel. I would not suggest anybody to stay here(just my personal opinion). The management needs to properly manage things.

Worst experience, bed and pillows were neat and clean. But dust and insects all over in the room like the room is not cleaned for weeks.

Since its an old hotel, its has some drawbacks of having old furniture and interior. But there services are good
