Grand Plaza Suites @ Calicut Beach

I stayed at this hotel expecting a comfortable experience, but it fell short in several key areas. First, there's no in-house restaurant, which is not made clear upfront. During check-in, the staff claimed that a nearby restaurant was part of their facility -- only to discover later that it was an entirely separate entity. The room service, routed through this so-called affiliated restaurant, was not par The complimentary buffet breakfast was just a namesake offering, served in a makeshift setup with minimal variety and poor presentation -- more of a checkbox than a genuine amenity. Parking was another major pain point. Very limited and poorly managed, it added unnecessary stress during check-in and check-out. Staff needs to be trained in a professional way as the arrangements in room are not at par with a regular hotel. Even you book the room online by mentioning the pax, i think, they keep the consumables only for one. We have to make request for those needs. And still there is scope for improvement as far as infrastructure is concerned. To be honest, the overall area and facilities might work for a solo traveler on a two-wheeler, but it's nowhere near suitable for a family stay. The lack of proper infrastructure and misleading promises made this experience thoroughly disappointing. Not recommended if you're traveling with family or expecting a comfortable, well-organized stay.

Cozy and well-maintained rooms equipped with all essential amenities. Although private parking isn't available, the staff were incredibly helpful, even arranging common parking late at night. The location is excellent--just a short walk to the beach and well-connected to other parts of Kozhikode. The complimentary breakfast was decent. Overall, a great value-for-money hotel, ideal for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city.

Awesome location, shopping food Street all facilities are available in that street. Grand plaza breakfast is awesome, everyday you will have a new menu with ample of choices. Rooms are great. Staff cordial and friendly. Overall great place to stay comfortable

Grand Plaza Suites is a corporate-style property conveniently situated on the main street, just a short distance from the beach. With numerous local eateries nearby, the clean and comfortable rooms ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfast offered is satisfactory, adding to the overall positive experience.

Nice to stay. Located in all the nearest beaches of Calicut. I walk-in and booked the room for my family with two kids. We felt safe and secure, accessible to almost all beaches, nearby good restaurants, nice staff. If you book online thru other businesses portals (oyo, booking, makemytrip, etc) just careful and talk to the hotel team before about discounts and availability. Breakfast and WiFi are complimentary. Cons: Car Parking is limited. There is only 3 or 4 cars can be parked at hotel parking area. You may depend on public parking area infront of the hotel at main road at your own risk. This is I was not happy because main is big car.

Booked through MakeMyTrip app. Standard room. Kept neatly. For two people they've provided one bath towel. TV working (Airtel DTH basic plan). No parking available. Very near to beach on a very busy road. Complimentary breakfast not bad. Overall, a good choice of value for money budget hotel in Kozhikode.

The only good thing is that it's close to the beach. Recommended for folks who are ok with a beaten down place at a reasonable price point. Behaviour of the staff is very poor. Upon check-in we were told that they no longer take bookings using Booking.com and we might not get a room, although we could see our names clearly listed on their daily room roster. Request the middle aged man at the counter to have a smiling face while dealing with guests - attitude goes a really long way in the hospitality industry. The rooms are also small, paints coming off from the walls, glass door broken within the washroom.
