We stayed here in one of the "apartments" for 2 months .. ||This was definitely the "budget wing of Faulty Towers" ||The only reason we survived here was because we bought our own cleaning equipment. The "staff" only had a straw broom which just spread the dirt around. Nothing was cleaned since the cleaners only lasted a week before they left because the owner did not pay their salary.. The owner refused to spend any money to repair or replace drapes or non working lights or faulty plumbing. We bought whatever was necessary for our apartment.||When we arrived our bed did not have ordinary bed bugs... it had termites in the wood frame! After a month they brought in a new bed and finally gave us sheets that fit.. but as usual were full stains, rips, but at least clean. We did have a TV although half the channels came in fuzzy. The internet electricity was provided from one of the guest rooms - and when the guest turned off the lights for the night the internet no longer worked. The management openly throw the garbage over the wall to where our kitchen window looked out.. everyday burning it (including plastic refuse) and the smoke blew into to our apartment every morning with a very toxic odor.- One day they decided to clean it up and were planning to plant a pineapple patch. However, the following day they started throwing the garbage there again. So each morning you wake to the odor of burning plastic which hung around until late afternoon when the sea breeze blew .||||The hotel nextdoor (Ocean Park) is really the same property. One day the "kitchen" on the property ran out of cooking gas with a load of "guests" not happy waiting for their eggs. They came to us wanting to take away our cooking gas.. I knew we would never see it again so I had to tell them no...||||We usually had hot water - but the other building (Ocean Park) ran out of water many times during our time there. The guests were told to go swimming in the ocean.||Many guests were upset that the hotel did not have a backup generator because the power is out a lot of the time, especially during the high season. ||||Overall it was an OK stay. We enjoyed our sea view balcony and location the most. I must add that we were entertained regularly by watching the other "guests" yelling - all saying they were going to report the hotel's owner to the police for a multitude of misrepresentations in advertisements for both Kavitha and Ocean Park Resorts... Beware... do not pay in advance.

I paid 1000R including tax. The room was large, clean, with fairly unstained towels and sheets. Hot water was available at all times of day. The room had windows on two sides , a sea view and a balcony with chairs and a hanging chair. The television had some channels in English although the way reception was not clear. They have WiFi but it would not connect to the internet at any time during the three days I stayed. No dirty marks on the walls.

We arrived in Kovalam late in the flight. Tired of the way, we were kept in the dark with our suitcases on the porch at about 40 minutes. It turned out that our accommodation in a room that was booked months ago and confirmed, it is impossible for some reason.||We were offered to spend the night in the hotel nearby, and in the morning to resolve the situation.||This is the horror of where we have been moved! The name of this terrible hotel is KAVITHA BEACH RESORT. But it was too late, we were tired from three long flights and forces to defend their rights were not.||In the morning we were shocked by what he saw: a towel draped over a stool - it was a bedside table! Bathroom defies description! Unwashed toilet with urine stains from previous guests, showers and taps in general do not work, tiles barely stayed on the wall. It was like a hospital ward in some charity hospital in underdeveloped country! Furniture on the balcony was so dirty and worn that it was covered with gray towels, not to frighten guests. The front door did not lock from the inside, so at night we pulled up a chair.||The next morning, no one from Lighthouse Cape Beach Resort has contacted us and offered to return to the booked hotel. Nobody paid any attention to us. We were outraged and went to search for another hotel. In this case, we had to pay at the check Rs 1000 per night in a stable.||Waking up, immediately went to look for another hotel.|| So, do not count on good faith when booking hotels through Booking.com. Keep a couple of replacement options. Confirmation is not a guarantee.

We are from Germany and our review is aimed at visitors from Europe. This Hotel is a low budget traveller Hotel. We are staying at the Kavitha Beach Resort for 2 nights. The room with bathroom is large and has a balcony overlooking the beautiful beach. It is a quick walk to the beach. The room has a fan but no air conditioning. We pay 700RPS for 2 people including 2 fresh towels and fresh bed linen. If you need bring soap and toilet paper. The room gets cleaned when we arrived at around 4 p.m. Unfortunately, there is no mosquito net in the room. Because of the heat, we left the balcony door open and lit coils against mosquitoes. Nevertheless, we were bitten. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Kovalam could be very beautiful if there weren't so many corners with rubbish. On the other hand, we see a lot of locals who stare boredly at their cell phones for hours and watch belly dancing videos. A citizen alternative "clean Kovalam" would be a solution to this problem. In addition, the restaurants are too expensive and not frequented enough. For example, we were given musty rice that was briefly reheated before being served. You can tell that tourists are eating here, not locals. That's why we cook ourselves on our balcony.

A Eviter.
