Hotel Soorya

I ordered nadan chicken curry and kappa, but the meat was clearly not fresh--it was dark, tasted like paper, and seemed either old or improperly stored. When I raised the issue, the staff rudely dismissed my complaint and insisted it was fresh. I was shocked by their attitude and the implication that they have ties with food safety officials, making complaints ineffective. I even tried contacting the Food Safety Authority but received no response. Had to throw the food away. I strongly advise others to be cautious.

Had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Soorya, Kottiyam, it was an exceptional experience, The hotel's elegant decor created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and ensured my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room was immaculately clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. Food served was delicious, highlight of the stay was they provided me transport at 3 am at short notice to the airport. Highly recommend to anyone looking for high quality hotel at reasonable price.

I visited Soorya bar for a hangout with friends, and it was a fantastic experience. The food Red snapper was absolutely delicious.. Thank you bibin for the nice service..

Rooms are neat and clean. Ac was old but satisfied. Breakfast is limited compared by charging high price

"I visited Soorya Bar and was thoroughly disappointed. I was charged 200 (Forster's punch) each for a beer that typically costs 110 MRP, making it 1,200 for 6 beers. Compared to similar establishments, the pricing here was significantly higher, especially for local beers in the local bar. To add to the disappointment, no snacks or touchings were provided alongside the drinks, which is usually standard in similar bars. The pricing felt exorbitant and completely unjustified." "It would be better to take up "another job" than to make a profit like this."

The rooms are in excellent condition and well maintained especially the suite room. Value for money. Location is good with varkala and other tourist attraction within 1hr drive.
