Pork chilli dry with sauce is a must try item. Overall the ambience is good and the service is also very impressive. Place is fully occupied with nice people, food and service.

Fort gate bar is a go to location for a drink. Ambience is good and service is excellent. Food is also better and reasonable pricing. The one in the ground floor is the air conditioned one and another at basement is not air conditioned. Bottom one will be crowdy in evenings.

Stayed one night at this place. Very silent and relaxing location. About 3 KMs from the temple. Hotel got ample parking space. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Breakfast is good. Wi-fi is not working in the room and you can access it at the launch. Clean rooms and toilet. A/C works fine. Recommended if you wish to stay a little away from crowd and OK to travel a few KMs to temple

Clean, big, comfortable rooms for very fair rate. The hotel has 3 stars but would deserve more given the Indian standards. Stayed in 4 and 5 stars hotels in India with much less facilities, cleanliness and services. ||While there shall go to the Chavakkad Beach. It is clean (for Indian beaches), white sand, not so many waves so can have a bath. ||As foreigner you can not go to the Guruvayur Temple but worth wandering around the entry to see pilgrims in action.

Chill place.. staff are good. Rooms and bathrooms are neat and clean. Food and liquor will not serve to room. Restaurant and Bar in ground floor.

I had an opportunity to stay here with my family twice in May 2022. We had few family functions in this month and due to limited space to accommodate guests in home we found this hotel nearby to our home and convenient. The first experience was in May1st week where there the reception manager greeted us even at late night and checked-us in smoothly. Whereas the second time in May 4 th week when i was accompanied with my relatives the reception manager Mr.Ajith created unnecessary drama stating hotel policy of not allowing visitors to accompany guests. It was surprising to hear that as i faced no trouble just 20 days ago even though i checked in late night both the times. The reason told by Mr.Ajit was due to some recent violations by some outsiders who created some troubles. In our case our home is hardly 2 kms from this hotel and we gave prior information very earlier about our arrival time . We had to plead him to stay with guests at-least for an hour. After attending long day family functions guests would be tired and they need some peace of mind when they get into hotel rooms. This bad experience greatly troubled my family and i expect some changes in treating your guests arriving late night.

Why would you want to stay in a hotel in the crowded Guruvayur centre when you could stay in a quiet, clean place just 3KM from the temple? Fortgate hotel has clean, big, comfortable rooms available at very fair rate. They even arrange for free rides to the temple at the time you want to go. No plans to visit the temple this time? Then they would arrange a free drop to the elephant sanctuary close by.||The complimentary breakfast is delicious as well. I have to say I LOVED the sambar which had plenty of vegetables unlike sambar served in most hotels. I hope someone from the hotel reads this and conveys my compliments to the chef!||The hotel employees--front desk, housekeeping and restaurant-- are warm and helpful. I only stayed for a day, and could not get his name, but the Front Desk officer who checked me in is a very kind and helpful person.

Good AC Bar and services. Good service. Helping staff. Some snacks little bit costly and not upto the mark. Please be go through the rates of near by bars. Will visit you again in my next visit to Kerala.
