Into the Roots Farm Stay

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Into the Roots in Kodamangalam. This 10-acre property, nestled deep in nature, offers a breathtakingly serene experience. We stayed in the superior deluxe rooms, and they were simply brilliant--comfortable, well-maintained, and provided a perfect retreat despite the hot weather outside. The food was a true highlight--authentic Kerala-style meals served fresh, making every meal a delightful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and approachable, ensuring that we felt welcomed throughout our stay. A special mention to Subin, who assisted us from the very beginning till the end, making our trip smooth and enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, with excellent hospitality and delicious Kerala food, Into the Roots is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful time at the farm stay. The place was serene, beautifully maintained, and had a very calming vibe. Everything from the nature-filled surroundings to the friendly hosts made the experience memorable.One of the standout aspects was the cuisine.

We booked this place but were a little skeptical and they proved us wrong. Right from booking till our checkout, Subin made sure that we enjoy every bit of our stay.||We selected the cottage and choice proved to be a super one. Outer room is with a table, a sofa , a wardrobe and a swing, and inner room with a bed, storage and a bathroom. Typically Local...||The area is cleverly designed and interspersed with mixed fruit plantation, small trails, slopes, swings, sit out areas, a stream and so many trees...||Food - Though, we had a little problem on the first evening, Our Preference of JAIN food was taken care of diligently, and some amazing dishes were served...kudos to Chefs Somy and Nishal and Sujit and Ansar.||Room service was prompt and good, bicycles were provided for moving around and many places to sit and enjoy the surroundings.|||One Point to note before booking||People with limited leg strength should think before booking as the approach of the cottages is not on a flat land, also terrain is undulating and vegetation is slippery

'Into the Roots' was an accidental find on social media. Booking sites offered better tariff than direct booking and the front office wasn't willing to match the former's offer. Hence we chose to book through Agoda. Journey by car from Cochin takes less than 2 hours. When Google maps declared 'you have arrived at your destination', we were literally looking at rocks around. A few steps beyond, there was a gate that opened to a cute, manicured property. The setting was tranquil. There were only two other guests that day and there was a meditative silence, perfect to unwind. The place is suitable to small groups too. The rooms were clean and washrooms well-equipped. The linen was of superior quality. The restaurant offers homely food in a nice ambience. Tourist spots nearby include Thattekkad bird sanctuary (11 km) and Bhoothathankettu dam (7 km). Special appreciation to Sujith managing the restaurant for his attention to details. Thanks to the restaurant team for arranging an early morning fruit bowl before we proceeded on a bird-watching trail to Thattekkad and waiting till 10:30 AM to serve breakfast (when we returned from the trail). ||A couple of suggestions: |(i) Direction boards at some points along the winding roads will be of help to first-time travellers|(ii) guidance on details of activities available around from the front office will be useful. ||Overall, a refreshing experience.

It's a nice cool fresh place to visit and stay. The full staff was soo much welcoming and supportive, especially Mr Subin (manager)was very much caring,he's the only person who made us this trip a grand success.Moreover the rooms were extremely clean and tidy also the food provided was simply delicious which make us feel special.Its an awesome place. Signboards could have been kept at few more places pointing to the resort. Only by seeing the cars parked i could locate where the resort is. No Name board in the visible size from far. Road approaching can be done better as it gives the first impression. Inside the gate, we were well treated. Premises were neatly and beautifully maintained. All facilities were good. It was well arranged, food variety was excellent. It was really well done and tasty.

Our stay at IntoTheRoots farm stay was truly an unforgettable experince. We visited during the Christmas weekend as four families with kids. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of peace and comfort. The property is beautiful with lush green fields and fruit trees around you. Room was exceptionally spacious and luxurious for a usual farm stay kind of property. Service was exemplary right from security staff, room boys, restaurant staff and Management staff. Food was awesome and suits for all of us as we had eight kids in our gang. Strongly recommend for a friends or family outing, if you would like to stay away from your routine busy schedule and looking for a calm day to spend.
