Budgies Cottage Thattekad

Great place to stay when visiting the bird sanctuary. Just a few minutes walk to the entrance and easy to reach by public transport. Rooms were comfy and spacious enough and food was very good!

Budgies cottage was our accommodation for 3 days during my birding trip at thattekad. I was greeted well and welcomed with pineapple juice and then with a typical South Indian lunch which was quite tasty. Talking of rooms, they were quite spacious with basic amenities and clean bathrooms. The towels provided were not good and were torn from many places. The food menu was repeated for 2 days which I felt was something that needs to be improved and that's why I deducted one star. On the final day during breakfast they did not even have milk to prepare tea. The service was prompt and the staff was supportive.

Stayed here while visiting Thattekad with family. Walkable distance to the Salum Ali trail. Good rooms. Decent food. Good service. On the main road. Good parking space within. I recommend.

Best resort in the locality. Polite staff , Neat and clean atmosphere. Kids play area, enough parking space , camp fire , shuttle court , pool etc available . Affordable rates. Highly recommended.

Great place for a family get together. Clean and tidy rooms with awesome buffet food package. The staff are very professional and available at any time for your service. The pool is small, but nice. You can experience a chlorine free pool experience as they change the water in the morning with fresh well water. Overall we had a very good staycation. Thanks to the crew.

A good choice for family staycations. The main highlight was the food they provided for lunch and dinner, it was rich in flavour and delicious. The resort is completely environmental friendly, having different birds and animals to make our trip enjoyable.
