This hotel has great infrastructure but is poorly managed. That guy at the reservation desk is always on the phone, having extended personal conversations even as guests are waiting to speak. When you call reception from your room, no one picks up. This facility has a running bar that causes ruckus, which is not ideal for guests with families. This place is not safe for women. Drunks check into the motel and make shrieks, screams, screechs, howling all night. Although it is stated at reception that "visitors are not permitted in rooms", but 'off record' drunken hooligans are made to check in. A large number of people partied all night in one single room next to that of mine. When we check in, the hotel requires us to submit an advance payment for the duration of our entire stay; do this on the first day you realize you can not go elsewhere.

I had stayed around 6 months back. That time it was good. This time the rooms were not good, amenities were broken or barely working. Had to ask for another room because of these issues. The next room was fine but still lacked maintenance. This place is for bachelors. Families might not feel comfortable.

I gave 5 star for my checkin experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient. The cleanliness of the hotel was also top notch, earning another 5 stars. The food here was delicious with a wide variety of options, definitely 5 star highly recommended

No toiletries were provided except a single towel and soap for a double bedroom. No kettle is available for preparation of hot water, tea or coffee.. canteen service is only available after 8:30 AM. So availing a bed coffee seems impossible. Size of the room is ok.

"Food Poisoning-Breakfast"- Be careful; room-wise, everything is good... I booked a night with breakfast for my family.. we had hotel breakfast (Chapatti & Egg curry) but in the afternoon I vomited twice and my son 6 yrs old vomited 3 times and was hospitalized... lab test showed "food poisoning".

Myself Sonia Aamod (Idea star singer 2008 title winner ).I can't stop myself to write a review about the beautiful experience in Donna Castle.Simply I can say this property is a home away from my home. I stayed in the hotel with my 3 year old baby girl Aaraadhya and my husband Aamod.We were back from Srilanka after a hectic schedule. The peaceful atmosphere and delicious food made all of us really happy.I am really confident to recommend this property to whoever looking for a peaceful stay at Kollam.Housekeeping ,food delivery front office staff ,all are really pleasing and polite.The property is near to beach and Lakshmi Nada Temple.The ambiance in restaurant is really awesome.We can listen to melodies songs all the time in the corridors..Car parking space in the front of the hotel is makes us comfortable to load and unload the luggage. Thanks to all staff and management.

We have stayed in Hotel Dona Castle, last December when we have visited Kollam and we were very happy to stay here and now this February visited again Kollam and stayed in this same hotel. It was very pleasant atmosphere. We have highly impressed with its clean and comfortable room and additional facilities. We have highly recommended this Hotel. The hotel facilities and room services are exceptional. The staff are amiable especially reception staff Mr.Joice. This hotel has very secure and safe environment. We have visited Kollam Beach, Port and "Jadayu Rock". Reception staff gave us directions and has arranged taxi for going both places and we were very happy. Whenever we will be visiting Kollam we should stay in this same Hotel.
