Munroe Island Lake Resort

We visited Munroe Island Lake Resort with my family. We were 6 people. We got lake view apartments. Pros: -Very nice location and budget friendly -Very friendly staffs and the owner is a very sweet person -They have promptly answered all our calls and guided us there without any hassle -Food there is amazing, very tasty and homely food -The resort activities are good and we all enjoyed it -Morning boat ride to see the sunrise in the mangrove island was awesome and beyond words -Rooms are clean, bedsheets were clean. We got an extra nice bed. Cons: -Average cleanliness in the bathroom. The geyser did not work but we did not complaint to the staff probably they would have fixed it. -AC was not cooling enough in room 1 -They could have provided an electric kettle and a small toothpaste Overall, a very nice budget friendly resort with all amenities and friendly staff. My family really enjoyed the stay and food there.

Dear Booking.com Support Team, I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding a recent experience with a booking made through your platform. I had booked a stay for 12th April at Munroe Island Lake Resort for my family on 8th April 2025. However, just one day before our scheduled arrival, the hotel manager contacted me and informed me that our booking was not confirmed. This came as a shock, especially since we had received confirmation from your platform and had made all necessary arrangements based on that. To make matters worse, I later noticed that the resort had accepted other bookings at a higher price, clearly indicating that our reservation was deliberately canceled in favor of more profitable guests. The behavior of the manager was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful during our conversation. This incident not only caused significant inconvenience to my family but also reflected poorly on the reliability of Booking.com. I trusted your platform to ensure a hassle-free booking experience, and unfortunately, this was not the case. I kindly request that you look into this matter seriously and take appropriate action against the property to prevent such incidents in the future. The gentle sounds of nature, the glimpses of local life along the waterways, and the overall peaceful atmosphere were incredibly soothing. Watching the sunset paint the landscape from the boat was an unforgettable experience - a true escape from the everyday hustle. I highly recommend timing your visit to include an evening boat or canoe ride to fully appreciate the serene beauty of Munroe Island. It's a soul-soothing experience!

Rooms: well equipped and reasonable price. The lesser priced room was better than the higher priced, higher priced was the cottage which sat on the backwaters. Serene but space was less in the room. The lesser priced cottage was better space and comfort wise...all AC rooms. Staff deployed at night was helpful.

Booked two Rooms for my friend ..Location wise ok..Service is pathetic Took 30min for one tea..Everything is delayed The owner of the resort is a good person always caring towards guests (Actually Break fast not included in Room but he gave as complimentry) but Mr Arun at the front office is not up to mark regarding any queries like cab / location / Guidance . Food is ok but price is slightly on the higher side

A very entertaining place to stay.. I had a night stay with my friends.. They offer Fishing,canoeing,Pedal boating, Kayaking as water activities.. Archery,swing ball , shuttle as outdoor games... The evening boat ride through ashtamudi lake was a bliss... A must stay place in Munroe island. The sunrise view from room was spectacular.. Highly recommended...

We had a very wonderful stay in Munroe island lake resort. We stayed for 2 nights with our family and was a memorable stay. Staffs are very polite and helpful. Foods are really delicious and worth of price

We stayed at the resort for a day, and the ambiance was pleasant, well-maintained, and spotless. The staff was welcoming and courteous. The amenities were excellent, including kayaking, pedal boating, and coracle rides, with assistance available if needed. We also enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pool in the morning. The bathroom was impeccably clean, and the room was spacious, featuring a functional television and a mini-fridge to store water bottles. Additionally, the resort had a play area and facilities for badminton, archery, and carrom. They also arranged a Shikara and canoeing ride, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was delightful, with a seafood meal served for lunch. For dinner, we had chapati and parotta paired with flavorful chicken curry. The breakfast spread included soft aappam and steamed puttu, which was a great start to the day.
