Emarald Pristine Island - Floating Resort - Alappuzha

So this was our second honeymoon, and the idea was to visit everykind of a place, and this fitted in the island category.||1. The location is a bit difficult to trace, but then our driver did a fantastic job. The welcome was warm and they take you to this place in their speedboat, is barely a few hundred metres inside the backwaters.||||2. The rooms though small and vibrantly coloured, were very cozy, and especially the view was a mesmerizing one. Lie on your bed, and you get the feel that u r lying in a waterbody, quiet, serene and pleasant.||||3. The food was above average, and the staff was very friendly and approachable. They take you for a boat ride, and wud recommend you to take the traditional kerala boat ride, its quiet, calm, and definately a memorable one to remember.||||Certainly this place has left a footprint on our memories, and maybe once we would want to relieve our good old honey moon days we lived in feb 2011.

The floating hotel concept takes away a lot in terms of managing the operations of the hotel! There are quite a few limitations that one has to bear! While it does give a feeling of living on water, the management cannot cope up with the requests or demands of the guests! We couldn't get lunch because we tried ordering at 3:00 pm. The kitchen was closed. We could only manage to get fries and sandwiches! ||There was compulsory Gala dinner on the 24th Dec night, and what we were served for 1000 bucks a person wasn't the least bit worth it.||Sadly, apart from the beautiful view of the backwaters, this hotel has nothing much to offer! You're better off staying in a houseboat or somewhere in main-town Alleppey! This is in Chertala, which is a good 30-40 odd kms away from Alleppey main-town!

We had booked 3 rooms for 2 night stay. AC's of two rooms were leaking and I am not sure why it cannot be fixed technically instead of using buckets. Otherwise rooms were next, clean and impressive. Hotel service and breakfast was amazing. But if you don't have mobile number of staff then you can land in trouble if something goes wrong. Overall views were amazing, sunset and rise especially.

Excellent place and location but I really could not figure out why is it not maintained when the tariffs are high for this resort. If you can compromise with this then the place is lovely, relaxing and scenic.||||Food is again a bit higher on prices with not much varieties but seems healthy and hygienic. Not for the foodies for sure as no good restaurants nearby too.||||Staff is polite but seems short on count so delayed or forgotten service is obvious.

Location is good, idyllic, looking out to across the distant shore on the other side of the lake. Fantastic expanse of water, Very few lone fishermen trying their luck in the vast expanse. Enjoy the breeze and the sound of silence. Rooms though, leave a lot to be desired. Poorly maintained overall. Staff are helpful.

Rooms are very poorly maintained and bed linens/towels were dirty, unusable. Food quality is worse. The tariff price is too expensive foe poor facilities. There are plenty of other alternative resorts where you can get superior service and room standards for this price. Please STAY AWAY

The experience in emerald was horrible, Lack of cleanliness. It was very unsafe for the couple or family to stay, we actually booked for a boathouse, but Minetrip fooled us by giving this emerald Island. I suggest others not to be fooled like us, Please don't believe Minetrip. They really disappointed us by falsely promising.

It was a nice place and food was really awesome. Rooms are not up to the mark but the service was world-class. ||You will get to see the beautiful sunrise and sunset here.||Best place for couple for being away from crowd and in the lap of nature.||
