Hotel Kottaram Residency

One day stay of my family during last week at your hotel was very memorable. Our stay was in connection with a small function of 125 people at your auditorium . Room given to my family was very clean with all facilities, very polite staff and reasonable priced tasty food at yr restaurant .Room rate is also was reasonable.Yr auditorium is clean & well arranged. Food served at the hall also was good. Location having good ambiance , cool and silent. Definitely I suggest Yr hotel to my friends and relatives for their future needs. All the best & keep it up.

Good location along the highway. Food was very disappointing and so was the service. Very unfortunate. The staff were very warm but they never took good care of us. Just ignored us and they were more busy talking amongst themselves. The restaurant was not crowded and maybe that was why however that is no excuse. I would not recommend this place.

the room was clean and adequate. what was frustrating was their website said free breakfast. our agents booking confirmed free breakfast, and their own google listing said free breakfast. when we went down for breakfast they acted like we were crazy and insisted no such amenity existed and that we were wrong. after showing them their own website, they said it was "direct booking" and that our booking was "not eligible." we did book using a reputable agent and even his voucher of confirmation from the hotel mentioned free breakfast. instead of gaslighting people about what is included, they should just remove that from their site if they dont want to provide the service. we also inquired if they did currency exchange and they flatly refused, even though this was also listed on their website and google page. again, showing them their own location on thier own website resulted in weird arguments we werent wanting, we just were trying to figure out aspects of our needs. they really didnt want to help too much with anything even though these are very basic, usual needs that werent outside of what was offered. even simple requests like wifi password or inquiries regarding (overpriced and confusing) taxis always brought two visits from two or more people coming into the room despite us calling down. our agent called them last night and attempted to smooth out the breakfast issue and apparently they told him theyd offer us breakfast today on checkout. he had to firmly push for this, and he also said they were unhelpful and evasive. surprise! they never mentioned it, or offered, and just acted awkward. felt an element of unease here because no one ever knew what was going on and seemed to push for more, but I am not sure for what. an example is at check out. we had all our bags, and put the key on the desk and said we were heading out. repeatedly they asked us if we were checking out and if we had ...PAID? we were clearly prepaid via our agent and checked in with a voucher, so unsure why we needed to be asked three times if we had actually paid. do other hotels let you stay without paying? im unaware of that. nothing else was glaringly terrible, but their customer service skills were poor and no one seemed to understand how to deliver on basic promises. I'd recommend going elsewhere. we are not hard to please and have already stayed at a range of places in the same price range in India over the past three months in a 6 month trip, so our expectations are very chill. for 40 dollars canadian per night in india, this was a bad experience.
