The Fern An Ecotel Hotel, Kochi

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Fern Eco Hotel, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The hotel beautifully combines comfort with sustainability, and the eco-friendly touches throughout the property were truly impressive. A special shoutout to Kajal from the front office, who made our check-in smooth and welcoming. Her professionalism, warm smile, and willingness to assist with every little detail truly elevated our stay. She was always approachable and ensured that we felt at home throughout our visit. Highly recommend The Fern Eco Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, sustainable, and guest-oriented experience. Will definitely be coming back!

Situated quaintly at Wellingdon island, it is an offbeat location, good appearance and classy reception. The guard at the entrance welcomes you with a smile each time and courtesy, hospitality shown by the staff was well appreciated. The room was exceptional with modern furniture, ambience and the tub in the washroom just added to the comfort. The property is pretty old but Kudos to the team for their high class maintenance. The view from the room to the swimming pool and mangroves is fantastic. They have a wide spread of dishes, well prepared in the restaurant, however they could increase the local variety to give a malabari taste. A walk around gives you the perfect Kerala feeling. The pool is nice and cosy but they definitely need to improve on the gym size. Overall an amazing experience and would like to come back again.

This is an exceptional hotel. The environment is stunning, the food is delicious, the pool and gardens are beautiful and everywhere is spotlessly clean. The staff take care to greet and chat, but not over chat with the customers. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The chefs are ever present and every staff member wears a smile when they speak to youm it is clear that these are higky trained staff who take pride in their work including the domestics. The concierge staff are incredibly helpful and sweet. There is nothing about this hotel that I did not like. I loved it so much I am returning before my flight home.

The rooms, while spacious, weren't clean. The upholstery was almost mildewy, there were spiders coming out from between the cushions (one bit my 4 year old son as he sat on the sofa) and the hot water in the bathrooms was brownish yellow, probably because of rusted pipes. Having said that, the in-room dining food was absolutely delicious (breakfast buffet was average) and while our stay wasn't great, the staff really did make a lot of effort to try and help by upgrading us to a different room and trying to get the water issue fixed. I think if the hotel puts some effort into property maintenance, it might become a nice place to stay since it's fairly centrally situated.

Love this hotel!! I have stayed here 3 times and the experience is consistent. The cozy rooms with old world ambience, the impeccable service and the delicious food makes this one of my favorite stays in Cochin for both work and leisure. Nandhana at reception, kesia and Albin at the restaurant also made sure my requests were met on time. Would 100 percent recommend.

I visited the hotel during Republic Day, and it was a delightful experience. The hotel truly embraced the patriotic spirit with its wonderful tricolor-themed decorations that added a festive charm to the atmosphere. Everything was adorned in the colors of the national flag. The highlight of the celebration was the food! The chefs curated a special menu with dishes inspired by the tricolor theme, blending creativity with taste. From starters to desserts, each item not only looked amazing but also tasted incredible. The staff was courteous and made the experience even more memorable with their hospitality. Overall, they created a warm and patriotic vibe that made the Republic Day celebration special. Highly recommend visiting during such occasions for a unique and festive experience!

It was an above average experience if you're looking for a clean and peaceful stay in Kochi, which also has connectivity to the city and fort Kochi area. The Fern met my requirements and I could sleep well in their comfortable bed, with every amenity provided. The only thing I would request them to improve upon is their promptness of service and a general level up in their hospitality skills. Maybe they can train their housekeeping staff more. Thanks :)
