Excellent property |R shah Vadodara Jan -25|This place is one of the best places to stay in Kochi. Ideal place/homestay is close to nature.we along with my relatives from usa stayed for two nts occupied 3 roooms|A beautiful property. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Common areas and washrooms are maintained well.The food served is delicious breakfast and dinner |The only thing is that this place is located at around 10-11 kms from Fort Kochi but transportation is easily available. Mr Antony and mrs Lissy, the owner of this property is kind and helpful.they have treated us like our good family friends with high hospitality.They have WiFi facilities as well. Breakfast and dinner included in the package bf and dinner is delicious.|Mr Antony has planned our entire Kerala trip in comfortable and economic way|Would love to come back again. Had a really pleasant and warm Home Stay experience at Palakal Residency. The house owners (Mr. Antony and Ms. Lisa) are some of the kindest people we have ever met!.. they were really sweet and caring to our one year old baby as well. Lisa Aunty's breakfast is unforgettable!... So affordable and delicious both at the same time! |Will surely be visiting on our next trip to Kerala.|Highly recommended.

This place is one of the best places to stay in Kochi. This homestay is close to nature. A beautiful property. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Common areas and washrooms are maintained well. The only thing is that this place is located at around 10-11 kms from Fort Kochi but transportation is easily available. I stayed there for a month. Uncle Aunty, the owner of this property is kind and helpful. They have WiFi facilities as well. Breakfast is included in the package itself. Also they have a super cute Dog named Brownie. Would love to come back again. Recommended..

The stay at Palakkal home stay was one of the best in our life not only because of the atmosphere but because of the love, care and affection of Ant7ony chettan and Lissy chechi. The place was a calm and quite area with all the facilities including transportation. The food they have served is having a family and love touch.

Room was amazing great ac and it's pet friendly! Amazing place. Amazing hosts. Amazing breakfast just 100 a plate! We were here for 3 days to celebrate new year this year and had a wonderful time going to fort kochi as well

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BOOKING A TOUR WITH THEM, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ: We booked a Kerala tour with Mr Anthony. He first charged us for a CP plan (aka stay with breakfast) and then said that since we are doing a lot of places, we must skip breakfast and leave early. We trusted him and did the same. He asked us to deduct 100rs per day that we skip breakfast but we were a family of 4 members so how would we have breakfast within 100rs? But still we trusted him and went ahead on the trip. On the very first day, which was the day we stayed in Palakal Residency, he sent his family members and made sure that we paid most of the agreed amount to him and then to the company he had outsourced the car to, so that the pending amount was just left to be paid to the car company. As we progressed with the trip, we realized that most of the hotels he had booked were extremely low standard hotels given the price he charged for the tour. One was dirty and had bed bugs, the room of one were extremely small and congested and there was a lizard in the wardrobe. Only 1 of the six hotels were at par with the price that we paid and 2 were sub-par. After the first day itself, we realized that even if we did not skip breakfast and leave early we could have easily visited all the places that we were going to and thus, we felt betrayed. On top of this, he always asked us to make bookings and pay ourselves for things that tour operators are generally in charge of. He only booked hotels and gave us a car and after much insisting from my mother, he booked a boat ride in Alleppey. He repeatedly asked us to note the meter readings and everything but that should not be our concern as a tourist. The meter readings are his concern. We have travelled a lot by making tour bookings like this but this one was by far the most expensive and had the worst service. When we confronted him, he started calling my father a bad tourist and everything. My mother had reached out to him for the same tour a few years ago but we couldn't go due to Corona virus outbreak. My mother had deep faith in him and his love for Kerala but above everything, he broke our trust and took our hard earned money, of which we were able to deduct only a negligible amount since he had taken all of his share on the first day and the pending sum was only for the car company, so that if we didn't pay them, the driver wouldn't leave. Today, it is very apparent to us that from the very start, he had the intention of looting us and maximizing his profit. Regarding stay at Palakal Residency: It's a nice property but there was a lizard in my bathroom. If you want, definitely book your stay here but do not ever make the mistake of booking a tour with them.

It was a good experience in Palakal Residency home stay.nice rooms and ambience enjoyed a lot with Antony uncle and his family. Especially that they share with us a lot of knowledge and Kerala recipes.Good space to enjoy explorers
