Cute dog "Buddy" is waiting for you to run around , private pond to give you feeling of a fisherman and a hut shade for outdoor sitting. This standalone home in the middle of a green property is perfect for a getaway. The entire property was well maintained and exquisitely designed. Almost every nook in this quaint ancestral home is Instagram worthy! A perfect spot for family and friends equally. Mr Gilson has also shown his love for music across the house. All in all, we had a fabulous time at Nutmeg Tree Farm.

My colleagues and I held our corporate wellness retreat here. The homey and thoughtful touches of the space as well as the incredibly supportive staff made our Nutmeg Tree stay incredibly joyful. At the end of our 5-day, it was bittersweet to leave the space, the people, and Jimmy the sweet companion dog of the house. Aside from the stay itself, the owners provided great suggestions for local and cultural activists as well. If we come back to Cochin area for our retreat in the future, we'll definitely have Nutmeg Tree on the top of the list to return to. Thanks for everything!

Visited with a bunch of friends last Dec. The property itself boasts a lot on its AirBnB page but fails to deliver. It's a beautiful home - unkempt and suffers from apathy. There are issues related to sanitization, hygiene and general cleanliness. It seems like one is living in a jungle rather than a farm. The services promised on their page were grossly missing (functional bicycles, fishing pond, farm to table produce etc.) Overpriced and underdelivered.

A true farm house in all sense. Excellent hospitality and good food. Cherai beach is not that too far away. You can hear the birds chirping, ducks, fishing, 150 plus varieties of ayurvedic/medicinal plants, home grown veggies n fruits.... A place you can truly relax n rejuvenate.

Nutmeg Tree Farm is a wonderful getaway, far from the hustle & bustle of City life in Cochin and ideal for travelers looking for a relaxed stay in Kerala, with the comforts of a good accommodation including air conditioned rooms & comfortable beds with attached toilets.|||| The property is a reflection of the passion of the owner for country living and you have a real organic living experience in this two acre property. The property has three air conditioned bedrooms and can comfortably house up to 8-10 people with extra beds . ||||The location of Nutmeg Tree Farm is in Kongorpilly which is near Alwaye and just 45 minutes from the Cochin International Airport . Its only another 30 minutes to Cochin city and hence ideally located even for access to Cochin if you have a vehicle .|||| From Alwaye , the route is > Thottakattukara >, Kadungaloor >, Panaikulam > Kongorpilly. ( This is important since there are other properties with almost similar names & our driver almost took us to the wrong place ) You will need your own vehicle to reach this place as public transportation is only by local route buses.||||I stayed with another four friends of mine at the Nutmeg Tree Farm and all of us found the place divine with a peace & calm seldom experienced in hotels or resorts . The food was homely but you need to tell them in advance to prepare the food and then, you are also given a choice of menu. ||||There is a drawing room as well as a dining area with two bedrooms on the ground floor and a third bed room on the first floor which has a nice balcony as well . There is a smaller room with enough reading material & even an acoustic guitar just in case you are a music lover interested in having a relaxed evening of music .||||They have a nice Chinese Fishing net by the stream that runs adjacent to the property and we enjoyed the demo by Paul who was the person who took care of us during our stay . They also have goats, chicken , duck & rabbits in the property and a fish pond as well . ||||The nearby places of interest are the Paravur Jewish synagogue, the Cherai beach , the Paliyam Palace at chendamangalam and the Varapuzha fish market just 4 kms away, in case you want to buy fresh fish and have it cooked at the Nutmeg Tree Farm.||||In all a lovely place which I would recommend to all travelers who need to have a relaxed stay in an unpolluted environment within half an hour from Cochin city .

The Nutmeg Tree Farmhouse is an exquisite farmstay near Kochi, easily accessed from Kochi Airport and close to the famed Cherai beach.||This is one great place to refresh and rejuvenate. Fortunately, I visited when the owners Gilson and Janet where in the property and I had a whale of a time idling at the farm and enjoying the farm-fresh food... especially the Michelin-standard 'Karimeen' pollicathu and appams and cut fruits from the farm. ||The farm has a small population of ducks, goats, chicken, cows and an interesting fish pond... however, one feels guilty wondering if part of this population ends on your dining table. Tasty though. There is also a Chinese Fishing Net at the edge of the property and it is interesting to watch the way fish is caught.||I never thought a farmstay could be this rewarding and engaging. I look forward to go there soon again.||

Few of our friends had a get together at Nutmeg Tree Farm ! I should say it was really an awesome experience! The rooms where luxurious, clean and spacious. I would recommend this place to have a peaceful stay :)
