Dutch Bungalow | Heritage Hotel in Fort Kochi

We had a lovely stay at Dutch Bungalow in Fort Cochin. The location is spot on--just a short walk to the beach, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. It's a great base for exploring the area. The in-house restaurant was a pleasant surprise! The breakfasts were delicious, and we ended up having dinner there a few nights too. The place has a really cosy vibe, with only a few rooms, which makes it feel more personal and relaxed. The staff were always ready to help with anything we needed. Highly recommend!

We had an incredibly stay at the Dutch Bungalow. Not only was the room lovely - filled with character, huge space and very comfortable bed, but the service was impeccable. We got big smiles every time we walked through the entrance, nothing was too difficult, easy refills of water, toiletries etc. Everyone was especially warm with our 6 year old. Location wise, everything except for the Jewish Quarter is walking distance/very close by - even so, we walked to and back from there with a 6 year old, no problem. Super convenient. Would definitely recommend.

A perfect blend of old world charm and modern amenities, we really enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent, right from the reception and the breakfast buffet spread was good. The hotel is located at a very convenient location and there are a lot of attractions at a walkable distance. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and neat.

It was a comfy and pleasant stay over this heritage property. The spacious rooms, welcoming service and delicious food all are commendable. The breakfast buffet was decent and the staff were really helpful over the request. The sheets in the room smelled a little and the air-conditioners were as old as the property. The pool was small and clean.

Highly recommend this hotel. Building is beautiful. Rooms and overall atmosphere is great. Staff is very attentive. Don't hesitate to dine here. Food is great. We tried the Meen Pollichathu and Chemmeen Mappas. Both delicious.

Family stay. Room tariff felt a little costly. I went in the month of March'25. Service is good, well managed, clean and no issues regarding place hygiene. Since my room was on the ground floor, I'd hear people walk if they were on the floor above but that's part of the traditional dutch house. Their welcome drink (pineapple - ginger- lemon juice) was good, we (my family) ordered it later during dinner as well. The restaurant is decent. We had a fish dish(see photos), and it tasted different from what I have had in other states. I'd recommend getting breakfast here. They served a buffet which felt sufficient enough. Location: not very far from the beach, easily walkable.

We stayed there for 2 nights...(Feb 2025). It's a lovely bungalow......and the whole places exudes old world charm. The rooms are large with a lot of original woodwork.......The location is wonderful too.......if you walk around the block there are some beautiful houses, lovely restaurants and of course a FabIndia and Anokhi.........!|The dining area near the poolside is quaint and I loved the food we ordered.|I must put in a word for the staff...they were excellent....always polite and ready to help.|I would especially like to thank the Manager, Mr. Srijith ( I hope I got the name right) .......for taking such good care of us.|

A warm and idyllic stay here at the "Dutch bungalow hotel". Situated in the heart of Fort Kochi, see is three minutes by foot, wonderful shopping places, museums. The hotel is a typical one: with a soul. Authentic architecture, furniture. You immediately feel welcomed. The staff is perfectly smiling, with heart, and always with good advices. A special mention to their kindness and attention. Definitely I recommend. And will come back for sure. Here and nowhere else.
