Cherai Beach Resorts

The location is the biggest advantage Cherai beach Resort has. But they have completely squandered this advantage with poor facilities and poor service. The pictures on the internet are from a few years ago and not updated. Initially when I reached here the rooms was burning inside due to the sweltering heat that has been beating down in the summer. We switched on the a.c and when we returned from the beach side it was still not cool. I complained to the reception and they changed my room. When we went to the new room we were met with the same experience. We checked out on the same day and left. The property is poorly maintained. Outside the room there was stagnant water from a small artificial pond they had created which was home to all mosquitoes and bugs. Avoid going to this place at all costs. The location is amazing. It's just a stone's throw away from the beach but it isn't worth the money.

Disliked it. Poorly maintained resort. Average food quality. Their location is the only + point. Rooms are really old looking and poorly maintained, may be due to proximity to the beach which causes corrosion to most things they have. A childs knee was cut due to uneven and poor quality tiles in the swimming pool. Big No to the resort.

Excellent location, just in front of beach. Well maintained big swimming pool for kids and family. Good food. Cottages are little old.

The property boasts a fantastic location, but it desperately needs improvements. There hasn't been any renovation in over five years, and most rooms are in poor condition. The food is a standout feature, but it's one of the few positive aspects of the resort. Be cautious of the photos you see online--they're outdated, taken three to four years ago, and don't accurately reflect the current state of the resort. The staff are very cooperative and helpful, but unfortunately, the owners or investors have neglected maintenance. Foreign guests often feel deceived upon arrival and end up leaving with a negative impression of Kerala and its tourism.

Hotel is good and close to nature with lush greenery in the premises. Beautiful backwater can be viewed from resort and room. Food was good , even vegetarian was well cooked. It's was a amazing stay. We'll maintained swimming pool with yoga centre was equally good. Cherai beach was very near.

Utterly disappointing. ||||That in short summarises my recent experience at this "resort". Had stayed there recently with a large family group expecting some fun times. A far cry from the Utopia that their website and ebrochures claim, this resort sadly lacks in basic maintenance and professionalism. ||||A very large property in an idyllic location at Cherai Beach nestled between the majestic Arabian Sea and serene backwaters, this seems to be their only claim to fame. ||||The rooms, though spacious are crying out for better upkeep. Cobwebs behind the electrical fittings, lizards in the room, rusted door fittings, an AC which couldn't be coaxed to be turned on at night (in one room), mold under the toilet seat and rusted fridge doors..... certainly isn't what anyone would look forward to... and that too, paying exorbitant "peak season" rates. ||||Outside of the rooms, quite a few buildings in ramshackle condition with boards indicating 'renovation' status surely doesn't add any face value to the property. Stagnant water in open drains and rusted grills on storm water drains are not exactly what the doctor ordered for a relaxed holiday! And what takes the cake was the condition of the only wheelchair they have.... decrepit, rusted and likely to fall apart anytime .... we had to use all our persuasion skills to coax our super senior aunt to use it, only as there was no other option! ||||Perhaps the only silver lining was that the staff were quite polite in their interaction. I do hope the management pull up their socks and set right so many issues - else, it would just be a matter of time before this resort, which has seen better days, goes to seed.

This is an old property which can be maintained better. The rooms are clean and tidy but not maintained. Looks like they are never painted or polished since years. The staffs were courteous and understanding. Will visit again for the wonderful location of the resort. The parking and accessibilities are good.

Wonderful place, excellent location between beach and backwater. Nice premises, spacious, well maintained pool. Excellent food!!! We didn't know how room service worked- single items like tea or towels were only replaced on request at the reception.|Ideal place to wind down, relax and ease your morning nd amd soul.
