The BEST luxurious homestay one can experience! ||It was our first home stay family trip and we were wondering how it would turn out especially since we were celebrating multiple family birthdays and the special occassion of our dad's 70th bday. We really wanted it to be special and thought of trying out this property. To our sheer delight, this was one of our BEST family stays. It supercedes any luxury hotel experience due to the below factors.|1. Utmost privacy |2. 7 plus staff catering to our requests|3. Excellent ambience and cleanliness |4. Absolutely delicious food made as per your request only for you.|5. Whole villa for yourself |6. Amazing bond with nature and birds ||The villa has total of 6 rooms and can accommodate 5 families . Every room is very spacious with walk in wardrobes and luxurious bathrooms with rain showers. 2 bathrooms have tubs too. All rooms have some great collection of books for the avid book lovers and some delightful and amazing curio collections. Very tastefully done decor - all rooms have spacious balcony with great lagoon and backwater views with the Chinese fishing nets. Such a picturesque sight! The variety of birds including the property grown turkey was quiet an amusing sight to see them strolling in the lawns every morning ||The villa also has an elevator for those who find the stairs cumbersome . ||A special note of appreciation to the staff - Sibendra, Prashant, Aliuddin, Chef Pundhu and his assistant and the others - they are all from other states, but speak malayalam well. They were really attentive at the same time ensured not to intrude to our personal space. Sibendra is available round the clock attentive to all our requirements. Pundhu has exceptional culinary skills and a simple idiappam tastes better than how a local would make. The palada was just heavenly and so were all the other dishes. ||Our connection with this stay was right from the booking stage with Ms. Priya and Mr. Pradeep who ensured a hassle free booking. Pradeep was really helpful in arranging the bday celebrations and also getting some of the delicacies of the region. Not only his exceptional support at the booking stage and at the premises , Pradeep has taken extra step to assist us in sorting our neupass points for Taj customers. |This review would be incomplete without mentioning the owner of this stay - Ms.Rekha Thomas who has taken extreme care in the minutest details of this impressive property and grooming the staff. Ms Rekha's beloved mother - Late Mrs. Sherly Thomas was the wonderful creator of the beautiful lawns and the orchids. Sherly's Ente Kumbalanghi will surely keep her memories and I'm sure every guest who stays here gets a glimpse of the passion. ||The only feedback for the property would be to include a fully equipped gym and a stronger wifi covering the vast area but with most of us having our mobile data this aspect is also covered. ||Hands down the BEST luxurious and private home stay . Thank you for giving us this experience and making my dad's 70th bday so special and memorable. Will definitely be coming back. ||

Beautiful property right by the backwaters and an amazing set up, loved the interiors as much as the exteriors

A top class experience. Luxurious rooms with fantastic views of the backwaters. The food is also fantastic. Special props to Mr. Aleem for his excellent service. Worth every penny. If you toss and turn a lot at night, don't choose the room with the swinging bed. The approach roads are rather small and we could do with bigger signboards but once you get there you won't feel like leaving.

Absolutely fantastic place. Loved the decor, the house felt like an interesting person with many stories to tell. Beautiful art and great books sprinkled across. And food was downright delicious. Homely food with great variety. The rooms designed in away to give the best views, after a long while sat down and saw the sun actually set before my eyes. Would definitely recommend this place.

The facility is extremely well maintained. Rooms are superbly or rather lavishly appointed. Food across all three days and each meal were truly exemplary. The fact that all six rooms need to be availed as part of a package deal may be considered. Getting to the location is a bit of a challenge but once you are in it's like a paradise.

Beautiful property. Fantastic and attentive staff. Tasty food with a tremendous variety. Absolutely loved every minute of the family vacation. The kids had a blast with the animals(fish, hens, guinea hens & geese), spacious living room, garden, and swimming pool. I am absolutely sure that I will be back soon.

Well maintained property at a peaceful location with a fantastic ambience . Rooms are very spacious and neat. Tasty homely food cooked with great perfection. Extremely courteous staffs. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the fishing experience by the pond within the property . The pool was clean too.I highly recommend Sherly's Kumbalangi homestay to all ... We didn't feel like leaving the place We will definitely go back again :-)

We were a group of 6 people. This property spells peace all around. The architecture, location and the service are excellent. This property offers great privacy for small groups with breathtaking view all around. The staff service and maintenance of the property are excellent. The owners have tastefully done up this place and they take utmost care of the place. Its not just another place to stay but you end up feeling like you are in your own space. The food is excellent and the chef is very patient to help you decide on the menu. They cook with fresh catch of the day. Overall, we had a great stay and we cant wait to go back. Thanks to Rekha, the superhost. Loved being here. This location is great for large families or small groups who want to relax and rejunevate at a quiet and clean place. We highly recommend sitting by the dock and watch the sunrise and sunset. It's worth everything.
