I recently had the pleasure of staying at 36 Palms Resort, Cherai Beach with my family, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. Nestled right along the serene shores of Cherai Beach, the resort offered the perfect blend of comfort, tranquility, and stunning natural beauty. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking--we woke up to the gentle sound of waves and a panoramic view of the ocean right from our window. It felt like a private slice of paradise. Watching the sunset from the balcony was one of the most memorable moments of our trip. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with a perfect mix of traditional Kerala architecture and modern amenities. The rooms were clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, giving a warm and welcoming feel. The staff was incredibly friendly, always attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The food at the in-house restaurant was another highlight. We enjoyed a variety of local and continental dishes, all freshly prepared and delicious. The ambiance of dining with a view of the sea added to the charm. If you're looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway with your loved ones, I highly recommend 36 Palms Resort. The rooms were clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated with a traditional touch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food at the restaurant was delicious,The infinity pool was a great spot to unwind while enjoying the sea breeze. If you're looking for a calm, boutique-style beach getaway, 36 Palms is a great choice. It's not overly crowded and perfect for couples or families looking to relax.

We had a lovely 3 night stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The massage was great - really enjoyed it. It was my birthday during the stay and they presented me with a lovely cake which was super thoughtful. They don't serve alcohol but there's a few places to go for dinner if you want a drink.

We spent two nights at the 36 Palms Boutique Retreat, situated on Cherai Beach, approximately 25 km from central Kochi and 20 km from Cochin International Airport.|The name "Cherai" originates from the Chera dynasty, which governed parts of modern-day Kerala and Tamil Nadu in the 3rd century BCE.||The retreat is overseen by a friendly Polish woman named Dori, who personally ensures the comfort of all guests. We occupied two generously sized premium rooms that faced a protective wall built along the beachfront. This wall, just five meters from our rooms, occasionally allowed sea waves to lap against the corridor, enhancing the atmosphere with their soothing sounds. I've yet to encounter another hotel in India so intimately close to the ocean. The upstairs room offered a direct view of the sea.|Our stay was delightful. The first-floor terrace, accessible to all guests, featured benches and loungers, and the property also boasted a swimming pool. Many foreign visitors were staying at the retreat, some for over a month.||The buffet breakfast was satisfactory, offering ample fresh juices and fruits, and the meals overall were delicious. Guests could dine just outside their rooms or at the terrace restaurant. The retreat exudes a warm, home-like feel, making it a perfect escape from everyday life.

At the quieter end of Cherai beach, this is an ideal place to relax. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds, sun loungers, hammocks and swings all with a sea view. You sleep just yards from the sea so will hear it all night, which we loved. The sea is only accessible for a few hours in the morning, as it's a bit choppy against the sea wall when the tide comes in. Access is via a few steps and a couple of rocks - fine if you're mobile, possibly tricky if you struggle with your knees. Food is decent and service is not too "in your face" - a pleasant change of you've spent any time being closely observed by overly attentive waiters. There's a yoga room which also has a small ping pong table and a few boats games. Pool is clean and looks over the sea. All in, a great place to spend a couple of days.

We had a wonderful 3 days at 36 palms. We organised a massage and yoga package with meals/airport pick up included. It was a perfect way to start our trip in Kerala. Vishnu and the office staff took good care of us, checking in and adapting to our requests (eg change of yoga time). All the other staff were attentive and kind. The hotel has numerous sun loungers which are well placed for shade or sun and a good size pool to cool down. We would definitely come back.

Pros 1. Excellent View on the sea facing rooms - glass equipped with great light etc. - take them if available. Worth the additional price! 2. Friendly homely staff. 3. Good ayurvedic massages 4. Good common area - very refreshing, breezy and well done. 5. Location from Cherai beach is not far or near (not walkable for everyone - need an Uber and they aren't available easily) Cons: 1. Splash pool not very well maintained 2. Very average dining area except the view which is great. 3. Highly understaffed - I felt sorry for the 3-4 guys 4. Lazy and slow kitchen. 5. No liquor license. If you're carrying, drink in your room 6. Very poor breakfast spread - they really need to spruce that up - often runs out of food. Don't expect anything beyond the basics.

property location is great. I paid 12k for one night stay but it was not worth it.Breakfast buffet was huge let down . There were no hot water . swimming pool water was tasting salty. there were frequent power cuts.
