Kayal Park, Backwater resort

We stayed 2 nights in kayal park..we had a wonderful experience..staff was polite and we had amazing breakfast..we loved the authentic banana coconut dish which they served..this resort is just 5km from amma amrithapura ashram...backwater view from the resort is amazing.. every morning and evening we would see the local people fishing.. very peaceful place...

Bit of a hassle to find the location. Had gone for a wedding reception and so can't comment on the rooms. Service was just above average and so was the food. Nothing special. The view was the redeeming factor.

It was wonderful 4 nights l spent in Kayal Park Resort , located on the Backwater . An ideal place to experience the vibe and hospitality of the ' God's own land'.

The in-house restaurant was not functioning,which caused a little inconvenience for us, and that is the reason I am giving 3 stars for service. The property is built on concrete pillars over the backwater which was nice. Rooms were clean and bathroom was nice. Nice staff. View was really good. You can see the rural backwater life unfolding in front of you both on the water and land. How the local people go about their daily life etc...staying here during monsoon will be a great idea in my opinion. Overall a nice experience. We stayed at this place for attending my friend's house warming ceremony at Karunagappally.

I just stayed 10 days at Kayla Park, Backwater Resort and had an amazing stay. This is a very beautiful location that has an overwater bungalow experience to it as you the hotel is built over the water. You can hear the sound of waves from the ocean gently blowing across the water scape. It was the best sound. The rooms were very comfortable and had nice working a/c and fans. The rooms were stocked with coffee and bottled water daily. The hotel manager Sarath was very helpful. He always check to make sure we made it back to the hotel safely after every outside excursion. He was always happy to arrange any taxis that we needed and helped with food orders. He even helped organize the train tickets for us and helped us to get on the train since we did not speak the local language. The breakfast that was served daily was absolutely divine. I always looked forward to their delicious breakfast and chai. I appreciate all the help of the entire staff. They all went out of their way to make us feel safe, secure and comfortable. I would definitely return again in the future and I would highly recommend Kayal Park to anyone staying in Kerala.

My stay at kayal park resort has been so wonderful. Incredible service and homemade breakfast each morning. The views of the backwater and sunsets are breathtaking. I highly recommend staying here. It feels like staying with family.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the breathtaking backwater view, which provided a peaceful backdrop throughout my time there. While I was there for a staff program, the resort still managed to impress with its well-organized meals, featuring delicious options like chicken soup, ice cream, beef fry, and an especially memorable fish curry. Overall, my experience at Kayal Park Backwater Resort was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway.
