Surya Heritage Hotel

Great place to stay in Kannur town. Very well maintained. Clean rooms with great service. Good food. Located close to the bus stand and not too far from the beach and other sights in Kannur.

Visited their resto bar, very few comfortable places in Kannur where you get liquor, food and decent ambience. Not a lot of options for beer but you can manage. Food was decent, not great and seemed on the expensive side. The combination of drink and snack works well. Staff are friendly

This place is for those who are looking to experience something unique and offbeat. The hotel is a traditional ancestral house with fascinating wood work all procured within their own farm. The hotel GM is a warm, friendly gentleman who sees to it that guests receive the best possible experience in and around the hotel. He went above and beyond to help when I needed help with fixing a breakdown with my vehicle and I thought that was really kind of him. The cuisine is local, well made, made to order. The staff polite, professional and very helpful. I had one of the best experience staying here.

Surya Heritage Hotel is the perfect place to experience the forgotten old-world charm. The hotel has the heritage of having been a house for over 100 years. The fact that parts of the house, be it the woodwork or the tiles have been preserved, restored and still taken care of is commendable. The aspect of accessibility tackled through constructing a new staircase outside the original building limits shows respect for the heritage property. Thanks to the hotel staff who gave us a tour of the property that made us aware of the heritage preserved! The hospitality, cleanliness and good food add to the charm of the property, making it the go-to place when visiting Kannur.

Great Location in City centre.||The property was a beautifully restored heritage home converted to a hotel, The downside was that it was very dark inside due to the shutters from the outside being permanently closed. I did mention this and was told it was in keeping with the building. One of the photos on their website showed the shutters open on both the ground and the upper floor. On reflection I think there was miscommunication somewhere along the line.||Apart from the darkness our room was nicely presented, of a good size and with all modern amenities. ||There was a good indoor small restaurant area that served a decent keralan type breakfast and extra seating along the corridor that served as a bar at one end. Accessed from outside there was a large bar/restaurant which served food up to late at night. Good service here and open to the outside which was light and airy.||Staff in all areas were helpful and receive our thanks.||Some advice for anyone disabled or has difficulties with steps. Access to the upper floors are only by stairs. The Royale Room on the upper floor has an additional set of steps set sideways to reach that level. Small steps up to front of building. Quite a few steps down to the outside bar.||I am not sure that I would be tempted to stay again.

We stayed at six different hotels during our travels in Kerala and this was the best regarding cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. The manager even organised a book for me which I had searched for a long time. Would definitely stay here again!

Very bad experience we had today.me and my friend went there and sit outside.Drink beers and ask them for chicken fry side dish. They didn't give us. We asked 4,5 times and supplier told u will get wait. We waited for 30 minutes and gone from there. We complaint to a guy but he didnt noticed that. Very poor experience. We didn't expect this from their side
