Ocean Hues Beach House

Excellent location, on a beautiful and very quiet beach, the sea was safe enough for swimming when we were there. We had the 'superior room', with the spacious and private balcony. The staff was very friendly and prepared excellent (Indian) meals with fresh fish. Kannur is nearby - the fort and Arakal museum are worth visiting (esp. a must-see for people from the NL with an interest in colonial history). Mr Kanan (the owner) was very helpful giving us suggestions and replied quickly to our e-mails. From Kannur we took the excellent Vandebharat train to Kochi. We arrived from Nileshwar, backwaters there are worth visiting (more quiet than in Alleppey).

This is an extrordinary place situated on the most perfect beach you will find in India. The hotel is a small boutique one with only 4 rooms overlooking the beach from up the hill surrounded by a lovely garden with a gate leading direct to the beach. The rooms are extrordinary spacious. Two of them with balconies facing the gorgeous sea view and two of them with a bay window with a mattress suitable for minor kids. The bathroom has a spa and a spa type shower. |Our cook mr, Reddy and his assistant Chandra take care of us and see to that we are confortable and are served lovely dishes, with fresh fish an seafood etc.

Ocean Hues is really one of the loveliest places we have stayed at anywhere in the world. The house is perfectly clean and comfortable and the rooms are tastefully furnished with wonderful views. And the way we were looked after by Mr Reddy was so welcoming and relaxing, not to mention the incredible Keralan food he cooked for e very meal. Best of all is the location overlooking the most perfect beach in the heart of magical Kerala. We can't wait to return!

This beachfront property offers stunning ocean views and direct beach access, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The spacious rooms are beautifully decorated, with large windows framing the breathtaking scenery. The location is ideal--quiet. The staff Mr. Reddy and Chandru is attentive and friendly, ensuring a memorable stay. Highly recommend for a peaceful beach retreat!

A Beautiful property located on the Beach. We have to park outside the property and walk down to the Beach House. Room spacious with Beach view and has a Jacuzzi. Food is home made and very tasty. But limited menu. Care takers and the chef are very kind and friendly. We can walk down to Beach and enjoy the long be If they add some benches and umbrella in the beach would be good. Overall a lovely experience with a friendly dog too.

Wonderful Beachfront Stay!||This beach house is an absolute gem! The service and staff were outstanding--friendly, attentive, and always helpful. The location is perfect, with a private beach that makes for a truly relaxing getaway. Everything was spotless, and the ambiance was just amazing.||A few small improvements: the beds could be more comfortable, and it would be great to have fruits, juice, and eggs available at all times.||Overall, a fantastic stay--I'll definitely be back!

My stay along with my friends at Ocean Hues (Kannur) was nothing short of spectacular. The property's elegant design, combined with its top-notch amenities (Truly of high standards), made for a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience for each one of us. Add on, the accessibility of clean the the private beach, its amazing sunset view truly raised bar on all our expectations. The attentive and courteous staff catered to my every need, ensuring that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Let me mention Reddy and Chandru co who have been so courteous and catered those delicious food for us (Reddy made me hot porridge when he noticed I wasn't keeping well and high the next day morning! Thankyou!) . Special call out to 'Brownie' the dog (Weiner Breed) was adorable and truly the highlight of the property (indeed came to receive and drop us back to our cars!). With its convenient location and outstanding service, Ocean Hues - The beach House, has quickly become my go-to choice for accommodations whenever I travel to Kannur. 5 star!
