Malgudi VILLA & Resort

We spent one night here on our family holiday and I must say that everything was good. The location of hotel is quite close to the centres in the city and major tourist attractions. They have laundry services and mini snack area. They had provided toiletries too. They are also having activities like shuttle. Overall the room was wonderful..

The hotel is having not only rooms also have 2 BhK house, we took house with AC, hotel maintained clean and many places like payambalam beach, light house and angelo fort are nearer to the hotel and the best part of the hotel is playing badminton and cricket infront of the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay in Malgudi property for 3 days. Very spacious rooms and neatly maintained ones. Getting it along with kitchen is icing on the cake for those who wanted to do their own cooking. Support by Venu, Akhil has been exceptional all along. Thank you both. They were more like a family member. Mr Pavithran the manager has been very flexible in arranging us the rooms per our needs. Very closer to the beach on one side and to the main shops and city on the other side

The hotel staff is quite good and polite above all they have a helping nature. However, the hotel is not that great to the price what they charge. The property is situated a little inside from the main road and at a distance from the beach. There is not geyser in the washroom as the hotel has solar installed and the weather usually is rainy. So till the time there is no sunlight u cannot think of enjoying a hot water shower. The rooms are ok I would say but not worth the price they charge. I rather suggest the hotel to low down the prices to crab more customer attention considering their demographics and the service they provide.

We visited kannur recently, stayed in this resort for a night. We booked a luxury 2bhk apartment. Rooms were spacious. There is no lift for the apartment. Only rooms have AC as it was 2BHK apartment, hall didn't have any AC. Although the kitchen was present it lacked any equipments such as kettles or utensils. We requested for hot water from reception and we got it. Major drawback for this resort is the road to the resort. It is very small. Large vehicles like suv will face challenges to reach the resort. Overall a decent stay for the price we paid. Good thing is beach is at a walkable distance from the resort. They provide food with the help of near by restaurants.

Never choose this hotel for vacation... It's like a lodge ... The price is too high which is not worth ... First of all the way to hotel is very narrow and not on roadside ... second rooms are not well maintained ... untidy bathroom .. water was continuously leaking from bathroom... such a bad experience ...

I had booked a 2 bedroom apartment here on my way back to Kochi from Kollur. Reached Kannur by 9PM and was shocked to see the approach road to this place. I drive a XUV and the road was just wide enough to accommodate a XUV. If you are not careful, then a scratch or two is guaranteed. If you are driving alone then all the more difficult because you need someone to navigate you on the other side to successfully get past this road. The place is very sleepy and I think it has only one staff. I saw only one person doing everything. He does check-in, payments, housekeeping, room service and what not. May be because of this apartment needs some good cleaning and maintenance. I paid Rs.5000.00 for one night and I except a more cleaner price for that money. After we checked in only, the caretaker realized that bathroom is not cleaned. He cleaned it immediately. Then there was no set top box with TV. He got it from somewhere and connected it. There is no restaurant here and so we ordered from outside through him. They charged Rs.80 as service charge for ordering and serving the food at room. There was no clean plates in the Kitchen. We had to clean the plates ourselves. Their description in booking sites mention about fully equipped kitchen. Kitchen only had a fridge and few plates. Is this what they mean by fully equipped??? There is no free Wi-Fi, no power backup. Even though description says air conditioned, AC is available only in bedrooms and living room does not have AC. TV is available only in living room and not in bedrooms. Bed linens were not clean as you would expect.Attitude of the staff is really good and he was very approachable and helpful. But overall this place needs some serious maintenance and cleaning. With out that rent of 5K is not worth it.
