Kaithara Heritage

Stayed there for three nights in the last week . The house is beautiful and well maintained. Cleanliness is superb. Decent location too. But there are lot of mosquitos. We have been to Kannur multiple times and always loved the food. Please don't book the place after watching the review or if you are a foodie who love enjoying local cuisine of the place. The breakfast was pathetic. Horrible food with lots of masala and oil with lesser quantity. It has been ordered from outside,you cannot expect home cooked food as written down in the review. The caretaker has prepared breakfast for us(very basic) for the next two days. Dinner was over priced even for a very basic meal,(dal, rice, one fry+chicken /fish). The whole campus smells bad, because of the dogs. The dogs are not well maintained, The caretake was helpful. Thankfully I could use the kitchen to prepare my kids meal. Basically, cannot expect any homely warmth like we do experience in homestays, better you stay in a resort.

We fortunately spent a night at this wonderful stay on a recent trip to Kannur! A special mention to how beautifully this really old place with much heritage is maintained to date. The hospitality we received was commendable too. The location is great, close to Kannur Centre, with a beach a short walk away too. Would surely look forward to spending another time here again.

Great location just off the main road and in the army cantt so lovely and green all around. Superbly located close to St Angelo's fort which is a must visit and surrounding beaches. The caretaker is warm and accommodating. The room was neat and clean with all required amenities. The house has a couple of dogs with a large front porch for parking and to enjoy your morning tea. Overall I will strongly recommend Kaithara Heritage.

We booked this place from AirBnB. It's a 160 years old heritage home. They do allow really early check-in. Place has good open area, for parking and playing. Place as total 6 rooms, 3 on ground floor, and 3 on first floor. All rooms are Air-conditioned. There is huge common area on both floors, and all area is well furnished with antique wooden furniture. Place overall has a nice rustic feel. Host, Xavier is quite nice, and can be relied upon for any recommendation. Added Bonus: for dog lovers, there are two Labrador and one German Shepherd- very well behaved and playful. If you fear dogs, host does ensure that dogs are kept out of your way.

Amazing property and the owners of this property (husband & wife) are amazing hosts. The house is a 160 year old property with big rooms, big common area and huge garden space. The host pets 6 dogs so be aware although they are in cages. There is payambalam beach around 2 kms from the house and a cliff around 400 meters. Enjoy the place with this amazing host. I am going back again in the future.

Good host and nice ambience. Host Xavier & Catherine creates magic with food . Try food from his kitchen customised as per your taste. Good suggestions too. Can host 12 members with ease. There are about 6 rooms and it's spacious. Good place to have get together/ wedding team hosting. It's near to baby beach and on way to Mascot resort. Also they have 3 dogs which are friendly pets.

We had Amazing family trip here at kaithara heritage. Mr Xavier is great host and responsive for all the queries, Helped us in getting rental cars to local food and places to visit nearby. Property is huge with very beautiful antiques and furniture. They do have kitchen and dogs. Property is huge and near to main road opposite army school. Go for the property and hassel free stay at your comfort zone.

This hotel stands out from the rest of the hotels you'll find online. It's a lovely spot with dogs and puppies, tucked away from the main road. You won't find a better guide than xavier if your aim is to wander around and investigate! He is the most welcoming host I've ever met. In that order, he's a good man > owns a great property > has very polite coworkers!
