Hotel Benale International

The linen supplied to us were horrible. The housekeeping staff wasn't very pleasant to deal with. The food was excellent from Bel canto which is the restaurant inside the hotel. The restaurant staff attitude was decent except for Mr. Sinto who had no idea how to treat the guests. The GM was kind enough to listen to our issues. They need to make the hotel more safe for the guests. I wouldn't recommend it to lady travellers.

Had taken executive and deluxe rooms for the family. Rooms were good and clean. Bathroom aesthetics could have been better. Reception staff were very helpful and courteous. Food, especially the breakfast was good.

It was a nice and comfortable stay at Benale. Rooms are well maintained. Staff is polite and helpful, the restaurant at Benale is delicious and pocket friendly too. The only problem is need to walk half a km for rickshaw or taxi as The Benale is not on the main road or in the market.

Would like to express my thanks for your quick response to my request regarding a TV problem which your technician attended within no time. Definitely, will come back again if I visit Kannur. Please don't be fooled by the google reviews. The property is way below average. The rooms are filthy, and the service is really upsetting. The fan in one of my room was rotating in both directions Kettle wasn't working When asked for a water bottle refill, the bus boy said he needs the bottle to be finished only then he can give refill. The corridors were not cleaned, it was stacked with old towels and sheets. And most importantly, the whole area was invested with mosquitoes. The quality of the food was also not as advertised. When I said the same to reception staff they had no concern whatsoever. I'm surprised how can a 4 star hotel have such poor service.

Booked a room for my parents. The rooms were pretty decent. However when asked the reception to arrange a cab, the hotel took a 50% commision on the taxi fare. We came to know through the cab driver about the actual fare, and the hotel shamelessly added their commission and billed us during checkout. When confronted, the reception initially denied but had to agree once we showed proof. Don't think it's right to make money for just helping your guest get a cab, that too 50%. It's just disheartening to see good hotels play such cheap tricks. I also initially thought that maybe the poor guy at the reception is trying to make some extra bucks, but was annoyed to see the amount in the invoice.

I had previously been to their restaurant, and yesterday my whole family went there. The customer service was horrendous I must say. - When we asked for an extra table ( 15 of us were there and we only had 2 - 4seater tables) they said they can't provide us with an extra table, when 1 table was free right beside and 2 more tables on the other end. I had issues with seating previously but I didn't expect them to behave like this when we had babies, kids and elderly people and they told this after we ordered food. When we were about to leave they gave us an extra table. If their capacity is small they should've informed us - Their parking is disappointing for an international hotel. They said it can't parked below since one of our vehicle is huge which is understandable but the staff there told us we can park somewhere else around the street and wasn't welcoming at all. The way they were talking was very distasteful. The team should've taken care of managing customers in a better way!

Clean and spacious rooms in close proximity to all commercial areas. Impressed with the hospitality of the team. Tasty breakfast too..
