Government Guest House

A government controlled guest house in Kannur, Kerala and it is managed by the Kerala Government Tourism department. This is a guest house built in a modern style. Very good service is available here. A/C rooms are available here. It is located on the shores of the Arabian Sea. You can see the best view of the Arabian Sea. This is a place where you can see the best sunset. Kannur Light house is located right next to it. Kannur new and old bus stand, Kannur railway station, Payyambalam beach, SN park, Sreechand Hospital, different shopping centers, light house, are all places within a 500 meter radius.

I recently stayed at Kannur Guest House for a work trip, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The location is absolutely breathtaking, offering stunning sea views. There's a beautiful pathway where you can enjoy peaceful walks while listening to the soothing sound of waves crashing against the rocks--truly a treat for nature lovers. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing all the comfort needed after a long day. The reception area stood out with its bright lighting and tasteful artwork adorning the walls. The lobby was equally impressive, featuring photo frames that beautifully showcased the art and culture of Kerala, adding a cultural touch to the ambience. The food was delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from. The highlight, however, was the staff--they were incredibly polite, quick, and always ready to assist, ensuring a seamless stay. Kannur Guest House is a perfect blend of comfort, culture, and scenic beauty. I'd highly recommend it for both work and leisure stays.

Good sea view and ambiance

A great place for staying at Kannur. You have to prebook on the government website for accommodation. The scenic beauty from the room of the ocean is great. The restaurant is good with friendly staff.

Rooms was so good. It was renovated recently and all the things were brand new and the view from the room balcony was so amazing. We can see the sun rise from the bed view it so good... And place is so calm and peaceful. The food were also so good and tasty too..

The biggest advantage is that it is on the beach side. Calm and quite place. A sea view point, light house and cliff walk way is very close to this guest house.But can't go to sea because it's a cliff. Rooms and food are not bad.Unfortunately there are no rooms in the building, which faces the sea. Most of the rooms are constructed in such a way that we do not even get a view of the sea from the room.It could have been done a little more beautifully.

This rating is for the amazing location of property in Kannur city. The rooms are nice and very reasonable.Since this is a government owned property we expect a lot. But the only drawback of this is hospitality from the staffs. The staffs those work here doesn't know how to behave nicely to people. This may result bad reputation to the tourism in this particular region. The government should appoint the people who show interest in the hospitality field. The communication and service was very bad because of a man working here. He was very arrogant. Other than that everything was amazing because of the location.

I visited the gust house for a hearing of Human Rights commition. I didn't stayed there, so I am not aware about their service. The best thing about this gust house is the location, it is near to the sea . The view from backside of the gust house is great. I would like to go there again and stay there one day.
