I had high expectations for this resort due to its great location, but unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. Cons: Bathroom Nightmare: The bathroom door was broken, and unless you have a muscular build, good luck trying to close it. Ant Invasion: The room was infested with ants, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep without getting bitten. Horrible Tea: The tea served was probably the worst I've ever had--made with what felt like half a liter of milk for 10 glasses. It tasted like flavored hot water. Zero Privacy: If you value privacy, this is not the place for you. No Maintenance: The entire property seemed neglected, with zero upkeep. AC or Just a Fan? The air conditioner barely worked; it felt like having a regular fan running. Non-Existent Room Service: It seems the concept of room service doesn't exist here. Pros: Location: The only saving grace of this place is its location. Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying here unless management takes serious steps to improve the facilities and services.

Review for Arabian Beach Resort, Kannur||I recently visited Arabian Beach Resort in Kannur with eight of my friends (couples) for a weekend getaway. I booked this resort based on online reviews and a friend's recommendation, expecting a pleasant beachside stay.||The photos shared by the owner/manager made the place look appealing--an old bungalow-style house with a beautiful beach view. Since my friends were traveling from distant locations, I wanted to give them a memorable beach experience. The interiors appeared old but neat in the photos, so I assumed it would be fine for a two-night stay.||However, the reality was disappointing. While the rooms and bathrooms were spacious, the overall maintenance was extremely poor. The balcony and outdoor tables were broken and covered in dust, giving an unkempt feel right from the start.||Issues Faced:|Upon check-in, my friends were initially happy with the view and bungalow, but the problems started on the very first day when we noticed that the upper balcony sofas were full of ants. We assumed this was due to leftover food from previous guests and decided to clean it ourselves.|When I ordered lunch and requested plates and glasses, the caretaker casually told us the plates were not clean and suggested we order disposable plates instead. I was disappointed but didn't argue, so we bought plates ourselves. Even the glasses were unclean, which we had to point out before they were washed.|That night, we went out for dinner and enjoyed the beach. However, the next morning, my wife noticed ants all over the bed in our room, making it difficult for them to sleep. I informed the caretaker, who cleaned the bed and bedsheets, assuring us it was fine.|Later that day, after returning from an outing, we found the bed full of ants again. I reported this to the manager/owner, but instead of acknowledging the issue, he simply said, "We have never heard such complaints from any other guests."|By the next morning, two of my other friends also faced the same issue with ants in their beds. At this point, I was completely fed up, but since it was our last day of checkout, I decided it was pointless to keep repeating the same complaint.|At breakfast before checkout, I needed two spoons/cutlery, only to discover that the entire resort had just three spoons available. While the caretaker searched for them, I noticed clean plates in the kitchen drawer, confirming my suspicion--he simply didn't want to wash dishes and was too lazy to provide proper service.|When checking out, I politely informed the manager about the ant issue, emphasizing that this could be a major problem for guests. However, instead of acknowledging or apologizing, he dismissed my concerns, insisting that this was the first time they had received such complaints.|Final Verdict:|My overall experience was terrible, and I deeply regretted booking this place. I felt embarrassed in front of my friends, who had traveled from far away, expecting a decent stay.||Things to Consider Before Booking Arabian Beach Resort:|Pros:| Great location - beachfront property with good ambiance.||Cons:| Extremely poor maintenance - dust-covered furniture, broken tables, and lack of cleanliness.| Unprofessional caretaker - behaves as if we are staying at his place for free.| Unresponsive management - owner is only concerned about money (I paid 20,000 for three rooms for two nights) and is unwilling to accept feedback.| Dirty and unhygienic conditions - ants everywhere, making sleep impossible.| Lack of basic amenities - limited cutlery, reluctance to provide plates/glasses, and poor service.||I strongly advise against booking this resort unless they improve their maintenance and service quality. Not worth the price at all!
We recently traveled from Bangalore to Kannur for a weekend getaway and stayed at Arabian Beach Resort, expecting a relaxing beachside experience. Unfortunately, the place was a huge letdown. While the location and beach view were great, the resort itself was poorly maintained. Dusty, broken furniture, unclean rooms, and a severe ant problem made our stay uncomfortable. There were ants everywhere including the sofas and the beds. The caretaker was lazy, refusing to provide clean plates and cutlery, and the owner showed zero accountability. Despite paying 20,000 for three rooms for two nights, we received subpar service and unhygienic conditions. This place is simply not worth the price.
I attended a marriage party here, and the view of Payyamblam Beach is stunning. Everything was great, except for the parking situation. While they do provide parking, it's located on the other side, and I had trouble finding it. The front road is narrow and can get crowded, especially during evening rush hour. I recommend arriving early to avoid traffic. Overall, a lovely venue
Extremely dirty environment and poor service. Broken furnitures. No facility for cooking or having food. We had to use disposable plates. They don't even provide drinking water. No secure car parking.
Very good location for conducting functions like wedding, reception etc ideal for a gathering of 500 people, plenty of open space set up stage and dining area
Fantastic ambience.Good place for functiond
