The hotel is right in the middle of the city which is convenient. Pros . Has good spacious rooms . The accessibility is good . The rooms are well lit and according to our requirements. Cons . There are no phones in the rooms to connect with the reception, you need to walk down every single time. . Complimentary water wasn't given, basic amenities had to be asked several times (towels, soaps, tv remote etc) . We had to request for housekeeping to be done every single day and out of the 3 days we stayed, one day housekeeping was skipped. . The hotel can be maintained a little more better, there was no security. Anyone can walk in at any time of the day, which is quite risky.

I had planned to stay at Kalanad Residency but ended up not checking in due to the incredibly rude behavior of the receptionist. From the moment I arrived, the staff member was unprofessional, dismissive, and showed no interest in assisting me. Their hostile attitude made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, which is unacceptable in the hospitality industry.I expect basic courtesy and professionalism when interacting with hotel staff, but this experience fell far short of that. I chose to take my business elsewhere and will not consider staying here in the future unless significant improvements are made to the staff's attitude and training. I hope the management addresses this issue and provides better training to their front desk staff to ensure a more welcoming experience for future guests.

Pros: Great clean rooms. Spacious and A/c working well in the May summer heat. Geyser worked too. Helpful reception staff. Cons: Nothing much around the hotel. Hardly any options for Vegetarian food nearby. Hardly any service, no housekeeping , from the staff, except the kind helpful lady at the reception. To go to any place, you have fork out a lot to autorickshaws, the stand for fleecing the tourist is right opposite this hotel. The cartel of those auto drivers doesn't allow you to hail a running rickshaw! So location though on a highway, on a junction ,is middle of nowhere! And loud honking to be heard, though not all the time. Wifi was never working.

I had contacted them last week for the booking of yesterday and they mentioned it will cost 1400/1500 for one night for 3+2 pax single room with two double beds. I have informed to do the booking and i will reach by 9-10pm only and will checkout by 6am. On 14/Apr i contacted them again as i was little delayed due to block and some road maintenance going on. When i reach there by 10.30pm they told it will cost 2000 for the room. I told that i have contacted earlier and mentioned 1500 only and i have the voice recording for the same, but the person there not willing to hear anything or the voice record. He keep telling the same again and again. In that time i have no other choice to give the cash they mentioned and take the room as i have already travelled around 380km and was with my family which includes two small daugthers they also need some rest. Its not about the 500 rupees we given extra but the attitude of the person and only looking for money.

Excellent Stay, Highly Recommended! I recently stayed at kalanad residency and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The room was superb, with modern amenities and a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and provided exceptional service. The hotel's location was convenient, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Price was affordable.I highly recommend kalanad for a fantastic stay. Rating: (5 out of 5 stars)
