Wood Palace Heritage Resort

Visited this resort with my family and office staff. The Hospitality and service of the staff are to be really appreciated. Thanks to the staff for their friendly natures, co operation and service rendered for us. Over and above,they arranged a fantastic camp fire for us at a very short time and we all enjoyed, each and every moment||The location of the place is good and convenient, a simple deviation from the Kottayam Kumali Mailn Road just before the Vagamon junction when travelling from Kottayam. The ambience of the place is great. But the rooms are just above average and the maintenance is not that great. The rooms are traditional way of wooden rooms and aesthetically good also. They can improve the quality of rooms and fittings.||Another disadvantage is that, they don't have kitchen when we had visited and they were bringing food from outside. This affects the quality of the food. This is a matter for the management to take corrective actions as the staff is making maximum effort to cover up this drawback. ||We stayed during July 2016 and we enjoyed the stay in this place in spite of the short comings.

Very good location, good view from some of the rooms. Only a handful of staff but the service was great. No restaurant so you'll have to get outside food. The staff will arrange it if instructed. Rooms are okay to stay but can really do with some maintenance and upkeep. Be careful when you party, some of the rooms are separated only by a wooden wall so can be easily disturb those on the other side.

The buildings are a bit old. Rooms are neat, but a bit run down. When I was in my room, I could hear the television and the conversation in the next room; which was disturbing. There is no restaurant. The staff are friendly. The views from the room are good. Overall a decent place to stay, but it could be better.

Its is an average hotel with good staffs. I stayed in the same hotel around 8 years ago with my family, and truly enjoyed the stay at that time. Now it look like the quality has been deteriorated considerably. Also they stopped serving food as well. Staffs are good and helpful though. Time for management to take corrective actions if they really want want to get more crowd.

Ya.. That is the only one word that we can say about woodpalace.The Main attraction of this hotel is the surroundings.That means the fruit orchard.We can see a lot many fruit plantations like orange,litchi fruit,gauava,chikku and etc.etc...The 4 Rooms of first floor is the best ever option.rest all thye rooms are average.The staff was very cooperate and friendly.the are always ready to help us with smiling face.The food was also good.totally it was wonderfull stay. definitely we come again to enjoy the experience again. thanks..

Good Ambience. Good Hospitality. Friendly Staff. Though they have no restaurant the food served on demand was delicious and very reasonable. |This resort is in the heart of Kuttikkanam and is very easy to reach. I took only 3 hours to reach this place from Kochi. Places of interest like Parunthumpara, Panchalimedu and Vagamon are very near to this resort.|Keep it up team wood palace lead by Ms. Mini.|

The rooms look run down and the restaurant isn't functional. View from the deluxe room is fantastic. Hospitality is very good, that's why we are giving a 4 star rating. Else, it isn't worth the price. We are told that the place will be renovated soon. It should be fine then.

Good location and ambiance. The staffs were pleasant and helpful. The rooms are just above average. Not that greatly maintained because we couldn't walk on grass cause we were warned of leaches. Overall i would rate them @ 70 %
