Rajavalsam

The main reason for choosing Rajavalsam was its proximity to the temple, the location is excellent. Let me first begin with the general attitude of the staff in the Reception counter. When I called them up for booking the person at the other end was extremely rude and that really put me off. Being in the hospitality industry I wish they could appoint a well trained team. Since I was attending a wedding the room was finally arranged for me by the marriage party. We stayed three nights and there was no cleaning of the rooms or change of towels for all those days. The walls inside the rooms and bathroom need an urgent coat of paint. Water bottles were provided only on demand. There are no electric kettles or tea/coffee station provided in the rooms. General cleanliness is lacking. Small requests like arranging an auto for going to railway station or bus stand was refused. On the whole except for the location there is nothing worth stating about the hotel. "Where there is a will there is a way ". It is the will that I found lacking in the staff in Rajavalsam. The entire hotel can be transformed if the staff can be motivated.

Really good hotel. Good rooms. Good service. Very near to temple. Complimentary breakfast should be introduced. Early morning coffe / tea room service must also be there. Overall good

I stayed here on a weekend with family in a non AC room, worth for money especially close to temple. 2 movie theatres close by , one is next building . Ample car parking . There are mosquitos so if you can't deal go for AC else you have to close windows. Not happy with extra bed provided which is really bad with pillow covers from 20 to century for 100 rupee extra.

Very close to guruvayoor temple. Neat, friendly staff and good environment overall. 10/10 would come again and recommend to my friends.

Worst room and hospitality. No facility ans mentioned in website and room condition also very bad. Most of the AIr conditions are not working. After complaining also no responds from reception.

-A/C room where we stayed looked old and rundown with dirty walls. - Front desk staff are not friendly (evening time), lack hospitality training, and behave disinterested . -Shaded parking is available for 4-5 cars, plenty of open parking inside the property. -The hotel is very close to the temple entrance (100-200 meters), which is the only plus. -The bathroom and commode look old and overused, with a weird smell inside. -The showerhead is one of the worst I've seen - it was covered in white mold and dirt (attaching images). -Could hear sounds from the hallway or maybe other rooms at night, which disrupted sleep. -Extra mattress provided for our 2-bedded room was old and very thin, like something from a cheap lodge. Overall, this place is not worth the money. It's better to opt for another hotel, even if it's a bit farther from the temple.

Affordable price and neat rooms. They didn't provide a blanket. Plenty of parking space.
