PANCHAJANYAM REST HOUSE, GURUVAYOOR(paanycjnyN)

Poor service ever i received in a hotel/lodge. The staffs were very rude as I went to a staff who says herself that they do provide the room services saying that my room AC is not working. She was watching some videos on mobile phone and was very disturbed about my complaning didn't looked into my face and continued watching the reels. I sat on one of the chair which was meant for the guests. She looked at me with anger saying me to go to the reception desk which is situated in the next building and asked me to say my complants there. Luckily there also I have almost similar experience where atleast i got 1 staff who understood my problem and asked for repair. We had 3 rooms. Finally I noticed that 2 rooms are having the same problem. Electrician came and resolved my problem after 2visit to the reception and 4phone calls. Finally it got resolved by 11:40 pm ( I came for early morning darshanam)

The recently renovated Panchajanyam is one of the Best accommodation owned by the Guruvayur Dew as wom. Well maintained, close proximity to the temple and attractive rate make it to be the finest choice for the pilgrims. Please keep up the quality. Another attraction is the newly opened PAZHAYIDAM RUCHI restaurant within the accommodation complex . Superb

Room was spacious but only 1 fan. No blanket will be provided. They only provide one towel and toilet kit for a room. so if you go as couple, you need to carry toilet kit for second person. double room gets three bed. Water bottle were also 1. No dispenser available in any of floors. Also they dont entertain early check in even if the rooms are fre...they go only by time provided in the policy. Not even 1 hour early check-In.

I stayed here last night for a wedding shoot.Experience was very disappointing .The room lacked basic amenities like soap and towels, and the bed sheet was old and worn out. There were no blankets, dusty windows, and no curtains. The security demanded extra parking fees at midnight. The service was also poor. Wouldn't recommend.

There is no word for service. Room was ready by the time we check in with one towel and toilet kit for one person. It's a three bedroom but everywhere they keep towel and toiletry kit for one person only. Water bottle also one only. No dispenser available in any of floors. We have to go down to refill the bottle. Otherwise location and room were good.

Convenient , the rest house very near to South Gate, recently renovated (Jan 2024) hence decently maintained. (Including washroom) We had stayed in a 3bed A/C room in ground floor. Definitely value for money and the Pazhayidom Ruchi (Mukundam) restaurant at the ground floor is also an added advantage for this location.

Panchajanyam Tourist Lodge by Guruvayoor Devaswom offered a good stay in its recently renovated premises. The ambience was pleasing, and the toilets were well-maintained. Having a vegetarian restaurant within the campus was certainly convenient, as was the temple entrance being just a stone's throw away. However, a noticeable area for improvement would be the overall cleanliness. Additionally, considering the 2000 nightly charge, enhancing the quality of pillows and ensuring an adequate supply of toiletries and drinking water would greatly elevate the guest experience.

Long post with review on AC and non-AC Please note this is an accommodation from Guruvayoor Devaswom and not a resort or property where you expect luxury,remember the purpose of visit is to get a glimpse of Lord. POSITIVE comments 1. This is barely 300 m from the temple. 2. They have a outsourced restaurant at the ground floor, which serves decent vegetarian options three times a day. 3. They have a tea shop run by the restaurant opening at 5 AM so that devotes can have early morning tea and snacks. 4. they have a lift as well as wheelchair access which I feel is critical requirement at a pilgrimage related rest house. 5. Online booking is the best way to reserve your room. (see pic for details.) NEGATIVES 1. Well, the purpose of the visit is temple visit but in case you love watching TV before you go to sleep, forget it the connectivity is terrible. 2. We unfortunately got a first floor non-AC room and unfortunately could not sleep because the noise from the restaurant which is just below our room 617 kept us awake all through the night. The tea shop closes at around 11 and opens by five and in between they do all the cleaning work so we could hear the vessels being cleaned all through the night . So you can be assured that they are serving food on cleaned plates. 3 BED NON AC ROOM large decent clean rooms with a decent washroom. The beds were nice and firm, but the linen on the bed was not very welcoming including the pillow covers. They do not provide toiletries as well as towels, so please prepare accordingly when you select a non-AC room. Can accommodate five adults easily. 3 BED AC ROOM Everything is same as a three bed no AC room, except that they have very good bedsheets, blankets and duets on the bed. They provide towels and toiletries. Also, they provide a bottle of water. Can accommodate five adults easily.
