HOTEL HORIZON INTERNATIONAL GURUVAYUR

I will only recommend this restaurant/hotel to u, if u have a low self-esteem to begin with. They seem to hand-pick uncivil, ill-mannered people as security guards or are they trained that way; I am unsure. I sure had the world's worst experience when I rolled into the hotel premises, seeking a space for my car, with whatever very less space they have. I am not a rude person and I expect to be treated that way; not too much to wish for, is it! I gave the guard and the management staff, a piece of my mind and went in, upset. I was welcomed by their pet FLIES, excitedly hovering over our table, seats, glasses and some of them wanted to be petted as well. Mind you, this is the 3-star INTERNATIONAL standard that they are promising. To believe me, you would need a small trip to their wash area, where an army of guerrilla GNATS can be seen savoring the spat droplets (since 1900s), unkempt wall tiles, rusty bins and prehistoric plumbing. I had kerala lunch meals from here - U should NEVER, I repeat NEVER ask them for a second helping of curries - the staff there almost collapsed of a seizure. And for two of us, they stingily provided us single spoon refills, just for the sake of keeping the ritual. I admit, the meals are tasty though. So, to sum-up, I am never going back there again to keep my dignity, unless, they decide to introduce their staff to some politeness and good manners.

Nice location near the temple and big rooms, however felt the bathroom floor was a bit slippery as we were travelling with senior citizens and felt the buffet breakfast could do better with taste and variety. Can do a bit better overall for the cost charged, but in all good.

Stayed here for 2 nights in early May 2025. Room was ok. Ac worked well. Good location near south Nada. Affordable room rate. They have free breakfast. We were so surprised that on our second day they waited for us as we informed earlier we may be late due to a performance at the Melpathur auditorium. There are limited parking area but they will manage it just that we have deposit the key. Just keep an eye on the car now and then - had noticed one window glass was open once. Although google says it's a 3 star hotel, we didn't really feel so. There was no kettle or coffee sachets in the room. Towels were no more looking bright rather dark. Most of all in our 1st floor room the hot water was a once in a blue moon thing. Even after repeated complaints they couldn't solve it. During normal times of your shower it won't come. At odd times you get it though like 2 or 3pm when no one else in upper floors is using hot water. Whenever I complained they would tell us to waste 1 or 2 buckets of water and it will come. But even after 4 people finishing shower in normal water, still there were no clue of hot water. Out of all this was the biggest inconvenience I felt. Anyway keeping aside the water issue, our stay was fine.

For many years, we used to stay in Horizon International whenever the time allow us to visit Guruvayoor. Recently we stayed 7 nights, including orchestra team, in connection with our daughter's (Thejasree Sreejith) Arangetram Programme held on 27th February 2025. As always, all staff members ensured a comfortable stay, and we all felt like staying at our home. They have provided all necessary support for rehearsals and did a wonderful food arrangements in the evening on the event day. This time our experience was superb - all our guests have same opinion, and everyone enjoyed the food thoroughly. We take this opportunity to thank you all from the front desk staff to restaurant manager. Our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Jayashree and Mr. Sumod for their unwavering support, words cannot express how grateful we are to you both for the gesture you have provided. On 20th March 2025, we conducted our Daughter's marriage in Guruvayoor. My daughter, basis her previous stay experience, suggested Heritage international for the wedding as well. Though, I was little sceptical initially, went with my Daughter's personal experience. How true and perfect she was in choosing Horizon International. The hotel team led by madam Jayashree, was in touch with us one month prior to wedding date and was flexible to accommodate most of our needs. The team helped us with hall decorations, recommended excellent bridal make-up people, accommodated our requests for complimentary breakfast by including puttu Kadalai, Appam Stew ..... I can go on and on. Not to miss the way the reception team patiently handled when one of the guests lost the key and the other guest went to Airport without handing over the room key. In all, it was a smooth, meticulous and courteous service and the entire team - Reception, Restaurant, room service, security - led by the able and customer orientated Madam Jayashree. The team took away lot of our pressure in conducting the marriage in a far away place from our home. Three cheers and Kudos to all the staff of "Hotel Horizon International", Guruvayoor. Thanks so much....words can't express what I feel....except to say Horizon international will be our Family destination for all our future functions and stay at Guruvayoor

A big thank you to Mrs. Jayashree of Horizon International for making my younger brother's wedding a truly memorable event. She handled every aspect of the wedding and great attention to detail. Her organized approach ensured that everything went smoothly, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. From start to finish, she made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable for our family.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Horizon, Guruvayur! The rooms were spotless and spacious, providing great comfort. The staff was incredibly courteous and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The hotel's proximity to the temple was a huge plus, making it very convenient for darshan. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Superb experience. Their on time assistance across all the facilities were really good. We had my nephew's marriage conducted there and it was without any trouble... service and foods were good. Infact, post marriage, they also helped and co ordinated with municipalility in getting the marriage registration completed. Will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
