Ambadi Regency

Walkable distance to the temple. Booked a 3-bed room over phone. Responded well by front office. Parking facility for upto 10 cars. The room looked bit smaller for 3 beds. Neat and well maintained bathroom. Overall a comfortable stay for a night.

I had a very disappointing experience with Ambady Regency in Guruvayur. I booked a 3-bed room for 2240, but the room was much smaller than expected and didn't match the pictures provided. I decided not to stay and vacated immediately after seeing the room. Despite paying a 1000 advance, the owner only refunded 500 and refused to return the full amount. To make matters worse, the owner's behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Very different from the photos. The rooms and bathrooms are very small and full of mosquitoes. For 3 bed room, they charged us Rs 2000 and the room was very bad. We had booked 3 rooms and all were small. Power outlets are not working. Room key holder was not working. The bathroom door didnt have a handle and they have put some cloth in the handle hole. It was very congested and the ac was dripping water. For hot water to come out of the tap, we had to wait for more than 10 mins. The only good thing was that it is very close to the temple. But we found out that there are many other hotels in that area that provide much better amenities for the same rate.

Arrogant staffs. very poor service.i will not recommend this hotel. Unprofessional behaviour from staff. Not at all good for family. Actually my rating is below 1

I have been booking this hotel quite regularly, since post -Covid days for over 2 years now ,the general ambience is quite good, only walking distance from East gate ,and close to temple pond , with a well maintained Road in front of hotel,on a reasonable budget- all rooms are AC with hot water n TV ,and good restaurants are within walking distance! ,they lower the price when you don't use AC ,the bathroom may look small but is ok .The parking space may be an issue but they have bought a small piece of adjacent land. The management gives Darshan passes on all festival which is on first come first serve basis, because of its limited number.

Ambadi Regency is a second home to us as we are staying here since our first visit to Guruvayur in 2017. We travel to Guruvayur multiple times in a year during different festival times and we haven't been to any other lodge since our 1st visit, purely because we don't speak malayalam and the hotel proprietor and management has always been extremely courteous and supportive during our stay in Guruvayur. They had guided us through different festivities of the temple and also introduced us to many nearby temples that helped us unleash our spiritual experience. They make sure our stay is pleasant and hassle free. The management also arranges for safe taxi pick up and drop at railway station (even at odd hours) and for other visits to nearby temples.

Too good. Stay, cleanliness and service. Above all reception is too good at all times. We can refer to anybody. Warm welcome at all times. My rating is always 1. First class treatment at all times.

Rooms are neat but very small for a family, and it is congested. No proper arrangements for putting cloths, dressing especially those who are wearing Sari. Bedsheets and pillow covers are stained. Location wise it is near to temple. Not child friendly and tv unit is not working and not even did anything after complaining. Hot water facility is there, bathroom is neat. But shower is broken. Parking facility is only for maximum 7 cars.
