FARM FORT RESORT & CONVENTION CENTRE

Very good place to stay. The place is well maintained. We stayed for just one night ans it was really comfortable . Special mention to the staff .. Swetha at the reception and the team . They made us feel at home from the very first minute . Breakfast was delicious and stay was comfortable.

This place is just near ferok college road inside calicut corporation.In another words this is a nice resort inside calicut city.It's a single ancestral house surrounded by probably about an acre and half of land/greenery.They are having about 7 rooms across 2 floors inside the house and 2-3 small rooms outdoors which they market as garden view rooms.The indoor rooms which I stayed are very good.Not sure about the outdoor ones though. Pro's of this place- 1) The proximity to calicut railway station,beach, airport,NH66 etc. 2) The property is very well maintained,very clean with helpful and cordial staff.Everyone from the frontoffice management team to the cooking lady in their kitchen are warm and friendly.Kudos to the management for finding such a nice team. 3) Rooms,bed linen,AC,24*7 hot water,toiletries provided.All were clean and in very good condition. 4) Wifi is free and I measured about 50-60mbps there which is good for a resort.So work from resort is a feasible option from here :).Not sure if they have power backup though. 5) Swimming pool did not have much chlorine,it's about 4-5 feet deep uniformly across all areas,has a seperate child area as well. 6) They have a nice garden with lots of trees like rambutan,mango etc,a very small aviary,an open air stadium,a DJ area,children play area and a party hall.They also have an aquarium but I could see only very few fish which was also not up to the mark.I have seen better maintained aquariums. 7)The property landscaping is very scenic with lots of grass meadows here and there.Red laterite stones in the garden pathways give us a unique earthly feel. Cons of this place- 1) Swimming pool is open till 7.30PM in the evening only which is a deal breaker for me. Swimming pool should not have any timings as per me.If they must,it should be open atleast till 10Pm in the night. 2) Since this place is within the city,the climate is more or less similar to calicut city,hot and humid.Unlike other resorts in the kakkayam,wayanad borders situated in Kozhikode district which are having cool atmosphere. 3) No fun activities here.Only one carrom board is provided.Not at all sufficient for a property of 8-10 rooms i would say.No badminton,fuzzball,pool table,BBQ grill,campfire options that most of other resorts have. 4) Since all the indoor rooms are inside the same house and is having a common entrance, hallway,some people might not like the intrusion of their privacy. 5) There is no inhouse restaurant here.That means no luncha and dinner options.This might be a let off for some,but I think that is fine.This place is in the heart of Calicut city with good restaurants accessible by walk itself.Might take 10 minutes hardily.Most of the restaurants in Calicut city open early morning and close around 11-12 Pm only.Hence I do not consider this as an issue. The resort however gives free kerala breakfast which is very tasty and having a homely feel. To summarise,i think this place is for you, if you are visiting calicut and don't want to stay in typical hotels and also want to stay in the city.If you are looking for a cool place for birthday parties,intimate functions,team meetings etc this place is apt again due to its proximity to the city centre. But if you are a group who want to relax,explore places take some time off for yourselves and don't mind travelling a little bit away from city centre,you can look at other resort options in outer parts of Calicut, namely anakkampoil, kakkadampoil ,etc

What a beautiful hotel! The rooms were very clean, modern and spacious. The bathroom was very nice and the beds super comfortable. The grounds in which the hotel is located is stunning, very beautiful landscaping with some lovely statues lots of trees and a fantastic pool. The breakfast was amazing! Home cooked keralan food that was super tasty. I would definitely come back. It's about a 20min drive away from the main area of Kozhikode but it's close to the airport. And lots of nice restaurants near by.

I had a very nice one night stay, room very god and clean, high quality fit out, good pool, quiet at night and great breakfast. Very pleasant and accommodating host. Highly recommend.

We have an amazing experience and an awesome satay in farmfront resort. Wonderful place with real farm experience and I felt like visiting yet another home .staffs are very friendly and pool are super clean .kids have nice playarea and early morning walk inside farm one shouldn't miss hearing birds sounds and nature's touch . Overall excellent stay with very very affordable price .perfect spot for weekend

Much appreciate thier hospitality and service. They have build a beautiful place ideal for family get together. Must visit destination. We had the entire place booked for family. Had some real funtime.
