OYO Oval Retreat

It's a truly frustrating experience. I booked a room, but the hotel staff denied the booking, saying they're no longer affiliated with OYO. I canceled the booking, but OYO hasn't refunded any money.

The view outside was just amazing. I got room 506 and the room was really spacious. I would recommend this place for staying. Really safe. There is a canal just front and the view is really amazing. Food can be ordered easily from any service like Zomato and Uber eats. The in house food service is acceptable. There is a swimming pool as well, not sure how it was, it looked great to me. The bathrooms were great in all the three rooms we had. There were OYO body wash, hand wash & body lotion which smelt really nice. I would surely stay here again if I get a chance. The hotel staff is also amazing. Even after our checkout we needed a place to keep our bags and he allowed us to keep them there without booking a room. We also tipped him for his great service. We were a team of 6 college students & being far away from home this place surely made us feel home.

I am very disappointed by the experience. The hotel is not located in an accessible location and is next to a stagnant water canal. There is very little care given to maintaining the premises of the hotel. The hotel is also extremely fraudulent when it comes to calling a room a hall. The facility provided is not a hall, but a changing room for the swimming pool where they conduct classes. This can never be used for the purpose of an event. Even the swimming pool is filled with disinfectant chlorine when I was visiting. The rooms though are good enough for the price and is the only face saver.

The place even though listed as a flagship hotel in Oyo, lacks that kind of quality. It is located away from the main centres in kochi. One advantage is that rooms are exceptionally cheap(around Rs.500, with breakfast included). The view could be good if you get a Lakeview room. The staff is really helpful and nice. The rooms need serious maintainance.

It's ok for short stay like 1 to 2 hrs.very small room. Complementary breakfast is two appam with cup of tea. In the room there is no matress.no water can or jug.tv is not working. I was staying in first floor. So there is no lift for us. But hotel team helped us to get the luckage to our room

Good staffs, from 2nd floor onwards lake view, attractive rates. But rooms are small. No food, but so many small and big hotels nearby + you can order online also. Sometimes they provide home food if only 2-3 persons. Road infront and sides too small, less parking space (No parking space when we went.) Staff will help in parking any vehicles.

The worst hotel I stayed ever in my life. bathroom was pathetic. Tv was actually actually hanged in a string, it was like hanging a photograph. Those who put 5 star rating were only their staff or friends. No one will give them even 2 star. Horrible night. Yuck

Cozy place to stay. Not so well maintained. Has a great balcony view to the canal. Staff were nice. Have to carry your luggage for a few steps after taking the lift which is a bizarre construction
