Cheppanam House

An absolutely stunning place. Supposedly a 100+ year old. Amazing cozy house with mind blowing service and food. The caretaker Mr. Kuruvilla was just too good. Anything u need was made available. The property if touching the backwaters wit-huge lawn with Mango, Apple, Banana etc trees. Loved the calm

Awesome location, serene and calm atmosphere. Located at the banks of a lake with beautiful lawn. The property has three spacious rooms, common dining and living area. The cook and the caretaker Mr. Ramesh stays in an outhouse at the same premise. The cook did ask for our preferred menu in advance and was very well prepared. Ramesh was very active and was always at our service. The manager, Mr. Kuruvila monitors everything, including the comfort of the guests. Stay Vista group manages the property. The property is very much ideal for family and group get togethers.

I had booked the property Cheppanam House Villa in Kochi House using StayVista in February 2025. Primarily because I was assured by StayVista that they would honour the Marriott Bonvoy points credit to my Marriot Bonvoy account. In fact, Stay Vista quoted a lower amount for the 3 rooms for 4 nights (12 rooms nights) initially without Marriott Bonvoy points. Since I needed to earn the points on Marriott Bonvoy, I agreed to pay an extra amount to StayVista for the said Marriott Bonvoy points (INR 5,000 plus) The checkout was 23 February 2025, and I have been consistently following up with StayVista and they haven't given a proper response. In fact, when I told them that I would leave a review, I realised, they used my account on StayVista to leave a 5 star review on the website. Which is absolutely ridiculous. Please do not go by any of the reviews of the properties on the StayVista website as they themselves have illegally logged into the account holders' accounts and left the 5 star reviews. I am consulting a lawyer for this as well, if this is legal and plan on taking them to consumer court for deceiving customers. Screenshots attached: 1. The place was too good , calm and peaceful,but please check the food rate before you order. We felt we were overcharged eg .1 cup Tea Rs 100 .

A good place to stay. Food options were limited and may have to use Swiggy, Zomato etc. This was a few years back. Wouldn't know now. Otherwise , very comfortable place to stay, with a lawn extending to the backwater.

It's a very scenic and beautiful property. Apt place for a family/friends gathering. Very calm and quiet! The lawn is one of the most pretty places. 2 rooms are waterfront facing while one is on the other side.. The property however was a big let down in terms of service of food.. The cook there feels he's doing us a favour by making food for us. I would suggest ppl to only order food using swiggy/Zomato onto the property instead of relying on the cooking of the in house cook. Will save you money as well as the attitude of the cook! The saving grace in terms of service was Mr Ramesh who did everything possible to make our stay smooth and comfortable. If not for him our stay wouldn't have been enjoyable at all! This property really deserves to have better ppl manning it as it is one of the most beautiful ones iv stayed at in Kochi!

From the booking itself, everyone from the stay vista team was super helpful. Communication was excellent from the team, they send us the google maps direction in advance, pre ordering menu, etc etc. The location was breathtaking. The moment you enter in the property, you feel like out of this world. Rooms, washrooms, public areas, dinings, lawn, etc everything was well maintained. RAMIZ was an excellent help and is there for anything you need. Never ever miss the Sunrise. My God that was the best part. Right from the room, straight out into the lawn with an amazing and breathtaking view of the sunrise. We went for Kayaking in the morning, did fishing in the evening. Tea Snacks everything was so tasty. The best place to visit with family and kids. Lots of open space for kids to play around. So relaxed and enjoyed stay. Thank you Stay Vista team.
